25.01.2022 Payments Methods and COVID-19 Yes we are still able to deliver your Firewood EFTPOS terminal will be wiped down with disinfectant after each use.... Delivery driver will use gloves. Cash is still excepted (not our Preferred method of payment) Payments can be taken over the phone. Payments can be taken on site by supplying the delivery driver with your card details. Payments using tap and go can be done with the use of clear plastic bags over the EFTPOS and social distances

Areas out side our local area (Eltham, Research, Greensborough, Kinglake & Whittlesea) will incur a $20 delivery fee. Orders for two or more Tonne maybe excluded from this fee.

17.01.2022 Good news We will be taking orders and delivering all weekend, we have also just taken delivery of 30 - 8kg bags of kindling to be given out with the next 30 orders.
15.01.2022 Are you getting what you have paid for????? All out wood is 100% Red Gum, not mixed. All our deliverys are weighed with calibrated scales, we also make sure you are getting at least 2.2m3 per ton ... Not all retailers do this

Kindling $15 8kg bag All firewood has some moisture in it as it reacts to the environment, dry firewood will normally sit at about 15% The Firewood Association of Australia state: Seasoned (Dry) firewood should have a moisture content below 25% All our red gum firewood is only sold when its moisture is 15% or lower. Each new load we received is tested for fuel moisture content before we will accept it for sale
05.01.2022 HOW WE GET THE MOST OUT OF OUR FIREWOOD Most heaters burn better with 3 or 4 logs rather than 1 or 2. Heaters without grates will perform better with a layer of ash on the base of the firebox, and should only need cleaning periodically. When cleaning out the ash always leave 10mm or so behind.... EVERY time you add fuel to your fire, leave air controls open for 15-20 minutes to start wood burning properly. Overnight Burning For overnight burning, load the heater at least half an hour before going to bed. Leave air control open for at least 15-20 minutes allowing the fire to take hold fully. Once fire is established turn air control down to low. ,
