25.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #2 Whilst the sun is shining, it's a great time to wander around our second garden. 'Rosehill' is perched high on a hill celebrating a 360 degree outlook, and the range of weather that delivers! This wonderful garden showcases color and fragrance, native and exotic species and edible productivity. Oh, and of course roses! Enjoy today's stroll.

25.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #6 Well, 5 gardens visited, it must be time to sit, relax and reflect. No better place than at a garden that includes grape vines, olive trees and colorful plantings that all highlight a marvellous backdrop of stone construction. Enjoy this visit to Panton Hill Winery.

24.01.2022 Simply....... Lest We Forget.

21.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #13 I'm not sure if it's to do with '13' but after no phone or internet for some time, we are back on air and can begin to close off our Virtual Garden Walk. Two gardens today. Firstly, from a hillside garden 'Vuelalee', we have 13 photos of an interesting garden that uses its surroundings and outlook to advantage.... Take a quick break back to the Hall. We then move to our second garden and take in a variety of welcoming aspects of this loved and well tended garden that showcases a number of planting types. Enjoy..

19.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #5 Today we visit 'Tryst', a valley garden that started as a bare paddock and over 40 years has become a garden for all seasons. Wander under the shade of large deciduous trees and explore the different areas of natives and exotics. Once again many roses flourish. Enjoy...

17.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #12 One of the joys of living - and in fact gardening - in the Arthurs Creek district is the fact that our gardens form within the backdrop of an ever changing landscape. Quite often, every moment spent in the garden can demand a choice of stopping to enjoy the environment around us or the task we are working on. You'll enjoy today's Garden Walk around a garden that maximises the broad vistas surrounding it whilst providing opportunities... for small colorful spaces and places of interest within it. It's not unusual for our landscape to simply become our garden. Breathe in and take in the views at the end of the rainbow.

13.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #3 Today's visit is to a relatively young garden. It's a celebration of renewal and optimism. Out of the ashes of fire, this much loved Strathewen garden now brings a real diversity of plants with fragrance, romance, nostalgia and boldness. A fine collection of iris adds to the show. Enjoy!

11.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #10 On this day in any normal year, we would see everyone gathering at the Hall and heading off with maps and instructions to visit the gardens being opened in our area. With bouts of wind, showers and hot sun maybe it was just as well we are 'virtual' this year! Today's garden visit is to 'Sasthacht'. It's an Irish word with a fairly layered meaning but essentially the satisfaction of making or doing something, especially with your hands........ like digging a hole! So it's appropriate for this garden where a vast array of special plants and trees are strategically placed and are growing under a canopy of eucalypts on top of a hill. Wonderful stonework features throughout this unique property. A true labor of love! Enjoy. See more

08.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #7 Our Garden Walk has been running for 32 years and we've opened over 120 gardens in the district. We're very fortunate to have so many community members who enjoy sharing their gardens. 'Ravenswood' nestles into a wooded slope; a shady eucalypt environment on one side, and open and exposed to the north on the other. I hope you enjoy the bursts of color and great groupings of textures throughout the garden.

08.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #11 Our Virtual Garden Walk is nearing completion. 'Natural Inspirations' emerges from within a fascinating family garden. Melissa Thomas is always one of our contributing artists at the Hall but her studio sits within a fabulous and intriguing garden setting created by her parents. The garden is quite shaded as it straddles a gully area where water, structures and objects stimulate the imagination. Enjoy the garden and Melissa's sculpture!

07.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #9 We commenced our Virtual Garden Walk with a glimpse of a fabulous garden that nestles into a hillside view with expansive views across orchards and the Kinglake Ranges. Let's take a closer look some of the great groupings of roses, perennials and more!

05.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #8 Our Hall grounds are usually filled with local artisans and plant growers during Garden Walk. So today we take a visit to 'The Iris Garden' and see the huge variety of 'Bearded Iris' that Graeme and Gail cultivate. They usually sell their Iris rhizomes at the Hall. Interestingly, ABC's Gardening Australia featured another passionate Tasmanian Iris grower last night. Enjoy..

05.01.2022 ACMI Virtual Garden Walk continues at #4 Today's Virtual Walk brings us to 'Poplar Cottage', a garden that combines old with new. Nestled under old trees and beside the banks of Arthurs Creek, this garden is full of character and generates loads of color and fragrance based on an abundance of roses.
