07.01.2022 At this time 16 years ago I experienced one of the most beautiful moments in my life. Suddenly my selfish, self centred world exploded and I was thrust into a wave emotions and the stark realisation that I was now the father of a beautiful soul, my first born and only son, Taj. Suddenly I had a responsibility to care for and provide for someone other than myself, a reason to think twice about my actions, take more care at work and life in general, because my son needed me. ... At that time my man, you were totally reliant upon Mum and I, this beautiful soul that we had created together. 16 years on, I watch the young man that you have become working through the challenges of life and although you may not be totally reliant upon us anymore, we will always be here for you, to support you through this journey that is life. We have shared some many memories already, including the attached photo where you offered to take the wheel for a while during our travels though NZ - Champion. To say that I am proud of you, is an understatement. I am grateful to be your Dad, I am thankful that you chose us to be your parents on this journey and I am excited to see what is next for us all as a family.
