09.01.2022 Look what flew in?...a small Bogong Moth! Is it a sign ?It certainly made me smile. The bogong is a part of our logo for the Artists Shed. It stems back to me being involved in a huge mural project on the lawns of Commonwealth Park..a Canberra Day Concert..Afterwards we had 5 big massive Moths which'hung' around the Shed (3 mtres across). There were also some standing Sheep! 20 odd years? For those who don't know the Bogong was also a seasonal fattening food for the aboriginal group of the area. They were much bigger than this little fella and migrated up and down the eastern side of NSW-Snowy mtns to northern nsw. Harmless little creature except occasional massive swarms around Parliament House.
