24.01.2022 And this is Nop - a heartwarming picture book about two unlikely loners who forge a forever friendship. Nop is a scruffy kind of bear . He sits on a dusty armchair in Oddmints Dumporeum surrounded by the beaders, knitters, patchers and stitchers who are much too busy to talk to him. A wonderful book to explore and a brilliant gift for kids. BONUS all books through Art Nuvo are signed by Caroline AND come with the cutest bookplate sticker. $27 for your own hard copy.
22.01.2022 Let me introduce you to our newest artist Carlie from Seajay Art - she is a local artist from Mudjimba creating some incredible resin bowls and art (will show you her resin art in another post this one is all about the bowls!) this artwork is a labour of love from creating her own moulds (which have a limited lifespan so that means constant creating of moulds) and the excitement of each pour to see how the colours and pigments react. Each piece is unique and so smooth to touch (result of hours of sanding) we have a wide selection of her bowls here at the gallery. As a price guide the mini bowls are $30 the medium $55 the flat base medium $85 and the large salad $220 and cheese platter or plate is $170 all perfect for shipping as they are light and don’t break! So come visit I am at the gallery tomorrow from 9am to 12 noon

As an example of framing costs this artwork purchase was $770 and the framing was $420 with the ultra 70% up glass so total price framed comes in at $1190 inc gst (or if you wanted clear glass allow around $300 for framing) FYI this beauty’s has SOLD

04.01.2022 What seems like a decade ago in January this year our koalas were in trouble and fundraising went all out - the amazing @michaelzavros painted this piece and donated 100% to @wireswildliferescue the original sold for $50,000 and he then offered 120 as limited edition prints - I was very thrilled to help support the fundraising and be able to hang an incredible piece on my wall. Framed in an Italian Bellini moulding with museum matting and ultra uv low reflection glass. So good to get it up on the wall!!! Helps being married to a picture framer and hanger (only took 9 months to happen )

Light can change a painting, this stunner by @larachapman2paintings has a background shadow that I swear changes through the day. It hangs on our wall near a window and the natural light filters across the painting and you feel the shadows move. Sometimes the skill of an artist is shown in their shadows - come ...check it out for yourself. Lara is new to the gallery and we couldn’t be more happy that she gave into my stalking her on insta you see images online but to get to know the artists is my thrill. Lara paints from still life - no photo - the actual jar the actual flower, as long as the flower stays alive she can paint - always chasing the final product before it’s no longer.
