23.01.2022 I did this painting many, many years ago - and though it's not technically the best painting - it was the best I could do at my level then. Unfortunately I don't have any good photos of it. It went on to win a Peoples Choice Award so I guess it was okay! A conversation with my friend this morning reminded me of it, so thought I'd share it. I had called it 'My Dark Crystal' - speaking of Dark Crystal - who is watching the new series?

So of course I went to the Steve Lichman comics and chose a panel with the awesome Flay. 15.01.2022 Character study. Wasteland farmers wife (he's in the previous post) She's in charge of starting the irrigation pipes, when they have water that is. Bun bun hops beside her until it's too hot then lounges in the shade of the salt bushes.
15.01.2022 Weekend drawing, based off Tyler Edlin's monthly challenge prompt 'Feast for the King'. Implementing things I've been studying, and just scratching around in general, playing with this and that. Still work to do on it but weekend is over XD
14.01.2022 Sometimes I wonder how my paintings are going. Today I was listening to some old Wintersun music and was reminded of this painting as it was inspired by one of their songs. The lady who bought it was ill, so I wonder how she is going? Is the painting still on the wall? What has transpired between 2015 and now. Sometimes I don't like looking at my old paintings, because I see all the flaws in them. But I guess there is good things in it too. Like when we look back on ourselves and see the shit things we've done, but also the good things. That's just life I guess.

03.01.2022 My first ever self portrait attempt. This stuff is way harder to do than other peoples faces. Learned quite a bit, was quite horrified at times as well haha Will do this semi-regularly. Next time though - some decent lighting, maybe brush the hair as well LOL I'll probably look at this tomorrow and go oh holy hell, what was I thinking? Okay Tessa Geniets and Wendi Wendi Seymour I'm putting the challenge of you two to torment yourselves and do a self portrait :D

03.01.2022 This drawing has to be one of my all time favourites to have done. I really enjoyed the process - it was planned back in November and have only just been able to make some time to do it. Thank you for your patience Kerry! I hope your ANZAC likes it :) Now I reeeaaallly need to improve my photography so I can take better shots of my work! I couldn't get it to focus on everything lol
