24.01.2022 Another work of art... The artist wanted their work to be printed on a large scale so we printed it at 44inches square on satin pearl paper. What amazing colour and rich blacks... 24.01.2022 The art of being the specialist at framing... A good customer of ours brought in this original charcoal work, that had been damaged while in transit from Europe. Our first task was to fix the charcoal with a fixative to stop any loss or fading of the image. Next we warm pressed the paper to reduce creases. The work was mounted using 8ply museum rag solid core. Finally finishing the framing of the work with TruVue UV70 glass & a hand finished black distressed moulding.... 23.01.2022 A customer brought this print in to be framed. It was printed by a so-called "professional" print lab. The customer had spent a lot of time and money getting it printed. But we couldn't just frame it! So we offered to reprint it...and needless to say, it looks amazing and the customer thinks so too! ... 20.01.2022 Another string to our bow... We had a local sailing club come to us to see if we could create sailing pennants for their end of season awards event. We had to design the artwork from scratch using Adobe Illustrator Once the design was approved, we printed the pennants on 380gsm art canvas & finished with a Satin pro-coat to protect the work. We then framed the 1st place winners in a navy blue mount and matt white frames.... We had to produce 23 pennants in total. The Sailing Club was delighted with the end result. Since installing our Canon professional 12 colour printing equipment we have had numerous customers asking if we do copying and restoration of artwork, photos, negatives and slides. YES, we do! . Here is another example of the expert in-house work that we do. These old photos were brought to us not only to be copied, but to build up a digital collection of a family history for future generations to cherish. We also had to do some maj...or editing work to remove damage and restore them to as close as possible to the original images. We also supplied new printed images. 17.01.2022 Something that took hours to capture became a complete work of art ready to hang... A customer, who is an avid surfer, when he has time loves to take amazing photos of the waves he rides. After working with him to clean the file, we printed the image on smooth pearl photo paper. We used an off-white matt and a simple black frame to set off the image. We mounted the work to aluminium using special adhesive film, adding an acid-free mount, and finishing off the framing with TruVue UV70 & a 40x40mm matt black frame. They were unable to collect the finished artwork so we made a special delivery. When the customer opened the door and saw how stunning the worked looked, they were totally blown away! We printed these amazing photos on our Canon pro 12 colour true pigment printer, choosing the best paper to show off the work. Good printing deserves the best papers. 03.01.2022 The sled pull is an awesome functional exercise that targets the upper body - it hits the back, shoulders, biceps & forearms. It develops anaerobic & aerobic ca...pacity. It also helps improve grip. How you train with the sled depends on your fitness levels & your fitness goals. Loading the sled with light weights & pulling it for a long distance will improve endurance & cardiovascular capacity. Loading it with heavy weights & moving it over a short distance will develop power & strength. Combine this with the sled push & it's even better! (More on the sled push in a post soon...) 01.01.2022 Framing history for future generations to admire. . This map is from the early 1900s. Our customers wanted it framed as a gift - simple but something that will last. We archivally hinged the map to acid-free matt board. We cut an outer matt to keep the work away from the glass. For extra measure, we used TruVue UV70 glass to reduce reflection & protect the work.
