04.01.2022 Without a doubt Covid has been a serious challenge for Artists in general, however many have risen to that challenge. One must look for the positives amongst the negatives. On line, selling has never been more relevant. As Gallerys in Victoria were closed, some Artists found Gallerys in other states that were allowing visitors. I was walking the Overland track in early March, so missed a lot of the build-up to the first lockdown. Like many, I was in a daze and oblivious to h...ow our world was to about to change. 'Get busy" I told myself (cleaning the cupboards was not a priority).I made ten films on "how to paint for beginners". These were released through social media and my youtube channel. It took a whole day to make a five-minute film. It was a very interesting process and I was thrilled to hear they were being circulated throughout Australia,as well as the Mornington Peninsula. I uploaded new and old images on Insta and FB to create attention. This worked as I managed to sell well through the period that my Gallery was closed. I cant wait till open again and talk faceto face with real people.
