24.01.2022 Last chance to cast you PROXY VOTE online before the AGM this Saturday. https://share.hsforms.com/1Ip198EJxSWOlUmE-35lM9A2gby2 The Kangaroo Valley Arts Festival inc AGM will be held on Saturday 28 November 2020 at 5pm at the Village Hall. We are again tabling a Special Motion to update and simplify the Objects and Rules under which Arts in the Valley operates. We hope all current financial members attend or at least send in their proxy vote.... The changes to the Objects and Rules are largely technical. There are however two key areas. We have simplified and broadened the Objects, so they do not imply any limit to particular art forms. The existing Objects does mention performing arts but has greater focus on music and visual arts. We have removed a clause which gave effective veto rights to the Artistic Director and Treasurer in matters artistic and financial. These were not useful and we agreed some years ago with the then Artistic Director and Treasurer that the clause should not be invoked. That clause is not appropriate to our present collegiate style of operation as a Committee.

05.01.2022 Kangaroo Valley Arts Festival & Sculpture in the Valley deferred until September 2021. At the recent AGM, we announced that, given ongoing uncertainties, we were going to defer the Festival till September of 2021. However we also said that we would be aiming to run some concerts in the early part of 2021 to fill the void created by the Covid restrictions, and make sure we were doing something to keep musicians employed. More announcements coming soon, join the mailing list artsinthevalley.net.au
