18.01.2022 Photos from today’s Evelyn and Ralph Thompson Memorial Scholarship Final. A great success and an extremely high standard across the board. First place and audience choice prize was awarded to bass-baritone Jake Bigwood after a stunning performance. 14.01.2022 Sunday, 4th of October 2020. Today really was the last hurrah for Art Song Perth, with the presentation of the final Evelyn and Ralph Thompson Scholarship Recital. An appreciative crowd of regulars and fans enjoyed performances from 6 very talented young singers and pianists who were chosen from 11 artists in the previous day of heats. Congratulations to Baritone Matthew Dixon who took out both the first prize and audience choice award. Runner-up was Soprano Brianna Louwe...n, and the Anne Watson Encouragement Prize went to Soprano Claire Lane. Our esteemed adjudicator panel comprised of Artistic Director Marilyn Phillips, Megan Sutton and Lucy Mervik. Thank you to everyone involved in today’s recital, and we wish all of the artists the very best of luck as they continue to pursue their performance careers. Starring Penny Shaw, Tommaso Pollio and Robert Hofmann shedding their costumed cabaret personas (well mostly...) and singing Au Naturel!
