18.01.2022 It’s such an honour having one of these teapots in our gallery. This is a porcelain teapot. The crystalline glaze combined with a very controlled and complex kiln firing, results in the elegant snowflake effect. This piece was made by Peter Wallace who is well known and respected in the art world for his very elegant and unique ceramics.

Coastal Claymakers is offering a healthy lunch of mixed salads and crusty bread for a cost of $20 and bowls can be taken home by the purchaser, while funds raised will support Hope for the Homeless Inc., Coffs Harbour. 12.01.2022 You guys know I’d have the Opening of all Openings for my little space if I could, alas a restricted max of 8 people isn’t quite the same...plus I’m still setti...ng up, waiting on stock and signage. BUT, I am in there and there‘s things to look at, so I’ll be officially opening the doors of Alykat Creative Gallery & Studio, albeit not quite ready, on Saturday October 3rd (tomorrow) from 10am til 3pm Then open 10am til 4pm Tuesday - Saturday’s, so swing by sometime and have a squiz. Those that aren’t local, here’s how the outside wall turned out. Mr Geoff Kassulke’s spray paint interpretation of my piece Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Lorikeet - so stoked with the result

07.01.2022 Meet the maker Viven Rink from @toysofwood today from 12:00pm. Vivien is an Orara Valley designer who makes these beautiful wooden toys, most of her toys are designed to challenge and develop the fine motor skills of children. Viven has also made some cute wooden Christmas decorations and honey dippers.

06.01.2022 These cute candle sets were made by Orara Valley designer Vivien Rink @toysofwood. I had no idea about the purpose or tradition of these candles, but found out they are advent candles. Vivien has German roots and advised me that one is lit four weeks before Christmas on the Sunday, and an additional candle is lit every week until all four are lit the Sunday before Christmas. Well, I couldn’t wait that long they have been joining us during breakfast and dinner since I got my hands on them. These are available in sets of four. #christmastraditions
