25.01.2022 Having finally finished my huge commission (which sadly I still can’t post bc it hasn’t been delivered yet), I’m now back to my beloved birds and working in pastels again. This is , of course, our iconic Jabiru, beautiful bird of the northern wetlands... occasionally seen as far south as Northern NSW. This terrific image is from the wonderfully talented Craig Dingle. Am all drawn up now and ready to start transferring the image to Pastel paper. . Mind you if there are two things artists dread it’s white feathers and black fur. What was I thinking? Oh well, time to really challenge myself. This will be slow going and a massive learning curve. I’ll keep you posted.
25.01.2022 Message I received from the new owners of Pink Stocking’d Run. Husband is the person in question. I’m guessing they love it. Happy Customers

23.01.2022 So thrilled to hear this. Thanks to all who took the time to look at the exhibition and vote. There were some stunning works amongst them. Love doing my art and love the pastel medium.
22.01.2022 OK. I'm jumping on the bandwagon too! Many animals (not only koalas) have been affected by these horrendous fires, so I'm donating the proceeds from an online auction of my Sugar Gliders artwork, entitled "Scamper and Scurry". It is a pastel work, professionally framed with proper reflective quality glass. Size is 795 W x 690 H framed (Image -535 x 430). Starting bids accepted from $500. Please inbox me to proceed. #sugargliders #themacadamiacastle #pastelartwork #australianwildlife #bushfires #artist #artworkbyangelaparr #art #australianart #australiananimals

12.01.2022 Researching information for my tribute to my father (drawn in my Art Journal), and I knew that he and Mum first worked at Waratah Station , near Hamilton VIC when they came to Australia. I also knew that the owners of this Station were Mr & Mrs Malcolm Reid, and they owned a stallion called Moneymoon, pictured here with my mum. But I did not know that Malcolm Reid and his brother Clifford bred Melbourne Cup winners... Rainbird in 1945, Gatum Gatum 1963 and Rainlover 1968 & 1969. The latter two were descendants from Moneymoon. The things you learn hey? #artjournaling #melbournecup #rainlover #waratahstation #ancestry #learningasyoudraw

She would have been 87 this year but died way too soon, at just 60. Miss her still
