24.01.2022 Printing today! We are fortunate to have some large trees on the farm and a Wedge-tailed eagle’s nest in one. This year there were two fledglings, that we watched stretch their wings and take flight. So now we have four of these majestic birds on the property.

24.01.2022 I created this acetate etching in the Grampians, inspired by the way banksias regenerate after fire. Really pleased with the framing by David Edwards in Hamilton.

16.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came to visit at the Port Fairy Community market for Easter! Especially to Helen and her husband who drove all the way from Torquay, Chris who bought tea-towels for his new b’n’b and the couple who bought the last print of Pups of the Sea for an 18th birthday gift. It is lovely to know that my work travels to all parts of Victoria and beyond xox
16.01.2022 You might recognize these images - Blue whale spy hopping was one of my first good linocut prints, but there were quite a few artist’s proofs that have been sitting in the drawer. So, when a market customer asked me last weekend if I had any whale cards, I thought these might fit the bill.
16.01.2022 My most recent linocut print of an echidna, found injured on the side of the road near Heywood. My brother delivered him/her to the Hamilton Wildlife Shelter.

12.01.2022 This is my final work for Diploma of Visual Art, displayed at the Red Rock Regional Theatre and Gallery in Cororooke, near Colac. Each canvas is a 30 x 30 linen painted with oils, representing threatened species and the artefacts that remain after they become extinct.
11.01.2022 Variations on a theme - Black cockatoo, Major Mitchell and Pink Galah.
11.01.2022 Eastern Barred Bandicoot linocut printed over kangaroo grass and eucalyptus monoprints.
10.01.2022 This is my most recent print, combining a wood grain relief print and linocut of the Tawny Frogmouth. These birds don’t often nest in hollows, but in the forks of gum trees, relying on their camouflage to deter predators. However, there have been reports of Tawny Frogmouth parents displacing Indian Mynahs from a tree hollow. I am starting a series of prints exploring the importance of tree hollows to our native fauna. Not just birds, but possums, gliders, bats, lizards and others. It takes many decades for tree hollows to form and even centuries for larger hollows required by birds such as cockatoos.
09.01.2022 I printed thirty cushion covers today - a pod of whales, a flock of cockatoos and a bunch of bandicoots. They are heading up to the Hamilton Maker’s Market tomorrow.

05.01.2022 Pups of the Sea is the latest print in my marine mammals series - limited variable edition of twenty on 100% cotton Stonehenge paper. Variable because there are different colours of paper (warm white, natural and cream) and slightly different colours of ink as it was hand mixed.
05.01.2022 Need a title for this collograph, completed at Sarah Ross-Thompson’s workshop. Banksia serrata? Outback?
04.01.2022 It has been too wet and windy to attend the Port Fairy Community House Markets, and difficult to display framed and mounted prints out in the weather without damage. However, some of my works are available at the following galleries: Peterborough Art and Antiques F Project, Warrnambool Merri View Gallery, Warrnambool Two Rivers Gallery, Tyrendarra... Julia Street Creative Space, Portland Mud Gallery, Hamilton Koopman’s cafe and gallery, Dunkeld MOCO’s, Halls Gap Also, if you see something on this page, Instagram or my website that you are interested in, I can arrange to meet you for a viewing or you are welcome to visit the studio in Hawkesdale, by arrangement.
