05.01.2022 BOTH AND BETWEEN Medium: Acrylic on canvas Phoenix Gallery Deakin University, Melbourne.... This collection of paintings offer a unique perspective on heritage architectures located in Farashganj, Bangladesh. The artistic representation is an outcome of my practice led research that examines the aesthetic tensions within my cultural background and creative practices. The artworks are a depiction of decaying surfaces, and the patina of aged architectures that are not only a source of nostalgia and romanticism however, they are also a repository of personal memories and a site of lived experiences. #throwback #bothandbetween #exhibition #pheonixgallery #deakinuniversityburwood #tasminakmajles_artworks #heritagearchitectures #contemporaryart

04.01.2022 Artwork: Unseen, untold Published on Womens Art Register Bulletin, July 2020.

04.01.2022 In these paintings, the artist examines the transcended relationship between nature and mankind. The depiction of fine strokes imitate the natural forms of nature, mirroring both fierce and fragile aspect. Using dark shades of indigo and black, artist emphasised on the invisible force of nature. Revealing the truth that our sense of separation from nature is mere an illusion as we are all one, a part of this entire universe. 01.01.2022 Artists are some of the most driven and courageous people on the face of the earth. They deal with more day to day rejection in one year than most people do in a lifetime. Every day, artists face the financial challenge of living a freelance lifestyle, the disrespect of people who think they should get real jobs, and their own fear that theyll never work again. Every day they have to ignore the possibility that the vision to which they have dedicated their lives is a pipe...dream. With every passing year, many of them watch as other people their age; achieve the predictable milestones of normal life the car, the family, the house, the nest egg. But they stay true to their dream, in spite of the sacrifices. Why? Because artists are willing to give their entire lives to a moment to that line, that laugh, that gesture, or that interpretation that will stir the audiences soul. Artists are beings who have tasted lifes nectar in that crystal moment when they poured out their creative spirit and touched anothers heart. In that instant, they were as close to magic, God and perfection as anyone could ever be. And in their own hearts, they know that to dedicate oneself to that moment is worth a thousand lifetimes.
