24.01.2022 2 weeks ago we Kicked off the start of the ArtyBra & Tie 2018 exhibitions with our launch at The Joan in Penrith. The exhibition looks great and there is still time to see it before it moves up the mountains to Ben Roberts Gallery in Lawson, before the auction event at The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba. 19.01.2022 On Saturday we kicked off the The ArtyBra & Tie 2018 exhibition with the launch at the Ben Roberts Gallery in Lawson. We had a great turnout and a good time was had by all. The exhibition will be at the gallery for the next 9 days before the Auction event at The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba on the 8th of September. 19.01.2022 Tune in 12-2pm Saturday June 16, for Plate Up Chair Pam Seaborns monthly radio segment, where she talks all things food, wine and tourism in the Blue Mountains.... Pam will be talking to James Howarth, Owner of popular Leura eatery, Leura Garage. Pam will be discussing with James his food philosophy,his support of Slow Food Blue Mountains, Leura Garages use of fresh, seasonal and local/regional food, his environmentally friendly initiatives, his special offers for local residents and much more. Anthony Ginns is the volunteer co-ordinator of the ArtyBra & Tie Project, the major fundraising event for Cancer Wellness Support. This fun project, held every 2 years, calls to our creative spirit and some amazing pieces are submitted. Listen in to hear from Anthony how it all works and how you can be involved. Executive Officer of BMATA, Michael Sperling will also be in the studio to tell us about the relaunch of BMATA - BM Accommodation and Tourism Association. BMATA is now the BM Local Tourism Office (LTO) and we will hear about their future plans, their vision and upcoming initiatives. We will also hear from Michael how plans are progressing for the Badgery Creeks Airport and the Indian Pacifics stop in the BM allowing passengers to enjoy what we have to offer. Pams radio segment is on Blue Mountains Radio 89.1, third Saturday of every month, between 12-2pm. It is within the Mountain Insights show hosted by Peter Walker.

11.01.2022 A fabulous opening for 2012 ArtyBra. It was great to meet some of the artists and learn some more about the construction and backgrounds of the ArtyBras!

10.01.2022 We are very excited!!! Jodie Van Der Velden from Josophan's Fine Chocolates in Leura has created this magnificent piece for AtyBra & Tie 2018. Her inspiration came from a Jean Paul Gaultier designed corset. It was aired yesterday on Channel 7 The morning show. It's a must see, check it out. Don't forget you can bid for this one off piece at our auction on the 8th of September at The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba. 01.01.2022 The ArtyBra & Tie Project is a fundraising initiative of CWS. We are appealing to your creative spirit to decorate an ArtyBra or ArtyTie. You can run the full gamut of your imagination paint, sculpt, stitch, construct or embellish your individual ArtyBra or Tie. Turn a bra or tie into a thing of wonder, a joyous, decorative fantasy. You can use any material you like and make an individual or group ArtyBra or Tie - just do it! Give your ArtyBra or Arty Tie a name and donate... it to CWS. Your creation will then be exhibited in venues in the Blue Mountains and also Penrith Valley before the final auction at The Carrington Hotel, Katoomba. All proceeds go to Cancer Wellness Support.
