23.01.2022 Met a lovely group of ladies today and had fun being creative together. It is always amazing how everyone’s work and brushstrokes are so unique. Everyone was excited to see the beautiful works produced.... Happy painting.
22.01.2022 Arty Obsessions Workshop - Seascapes Everyone produced some lovely artworks today in my Seascape workshop. I met some new people and we enjoyed being creative together. We planned a seascape, prepared a cradle panel with sealer, and after some discussion about composition; the rule of thirds, leading the eye around the painting and other arty stuff, we drew up our compositions. We used texture paste for the rocks and glazing medium to help make shadows transparent.... Lunch is always a lovely way to get to know each other a bit better, and of course, we shared a lot of art talk and new techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and I am always happy to see everyone’s finished artworks. It is lovely to be involved in the process which culminates in the final piece. Everyone went home with a unique artwork, vanished and ready to hang. We have planned to get together again on 5 September with the focus of that workshop being pastel birds if anyone would like to join us. Happy creating, Pascale
22.01.2022 Had fun today with this group of fellow artists experimenting with different textures, mark making and glazes. It’s lovely when everyone is happy to experiment. 21.01.2022 Wow, how time has flown. Welcome to 2020! I have settled back into work and now I’m inspired and excited to be getting materials organised for the first workshop of this year. My plan is to run one a month limited to 6 people. The workshops are held in Darwin CBD.... Please click on the link below for the schedule for the first few workshops. 17.01.2022 Spent Saturday chatting and painting with a small group at my last Tropical Flowers workshop for the year. It was nice spending time with a couple of young ladies I actually taught in Year 1 and Mum Terri Ann. First time for the flouro colours and some expressive dots. Well done ladies.... Beautiful and varied works.

11.01.2022 Today we experimented with using tissue paper and modelling paste to create a texture base for our landscapes. This was worked over with acrylic paints using a variety of brushes and palette knives, and finished with soft glazes of transparent colour. It was a small group; one created a desert scene of Devil's Marbles and a water-filled Jim Jim Falls.... Nice work ladies!

09.01.2022 Spent a productive Saturday with these lovely ladies who attended my Tropical Flowers workshop. It was great painting together and although we didn't all know each other prior, it was interesting to discover over lunch how we all have some connections... Be it mutual friends, workplaces or family - that's Darwin for you! All the artworks look amazing. ... I'm looking forward to running the Pastel Bird workshop next fortnight. Happy painting.

06.01.2022 Small group this weekend working with acrylics, splashing paint and playing with squeezy bottles to create an impression of our bushland. 05.01.2022 This workshop was done on request by some ladies who were interested in painting birds. I wasn't sure how it would go and I'm impressed with the beautiful work produced. The participants are very motivated and keen to continue working with pastels. I might run this workshop again if there is interest as it was rewarding for all of us....
