24.01.2022 Researching, as I often am for stories, I came across this video that talks about freedom in love. How some see a partner as someone to own and therefore, sadly, control. How do we maintain personal freedom within a relationship while respecting the needs of the other. Christina Lopes talks about a great mantra "I own nothing, everything is borrowed". This goes for things, ideas and personal identity as well people. Love is not attachment. Love is not ownership. https://youtu.be/8ca4ih3Kg48

24.01.2022 Roger Penrose explains very succinctly: Matter equates to energy. Energy equates to vibration. Therefore Matter equates to vibration. https://youtu.be/K_FUlo8BF9Y

24.01.2022 Lots happening in the sky right now as we enter the middle of what has been a very different year and it ain't over yet. Hold on to your pants, stay cautious and as Steve says in this video "Tread the middle path." Listening to Molly McCord last night too and she said it's a good time to listen to what others have to say, not to jump down their throats or ignore them because they say something we don't agree with. Instead genuinely asking them "what are your reasons for believing that". That way lies a path out of polarisation and extremes. https://youtu.be/Mdcyn7QCJ1k

24.01.2022 Some say ignore the bad in the world, ourselves and each other and only focus on the good. I prefer to see all the quicks and foibles and love anyway. This is the new energy, embracing our humanness, making space for the wild, the untamed, the unpredictable. Yes there are bits of ourselves that don't work well or annoy others, the same goes for other people and everything in the world. There is no normal. Do we really want a world where everyone was identical? Fitting some abstract ideal that is measured only by us? Where everything is identical? Where there is no risk or uncertainty? https://youtu.be/ifI-CvpBfHI

23.01.2022 Taking photos of nature, landscapes and close up of plants has been a long time hobby. I occasionally post the best to Unsplash, a free to download photo site. https://unsplash.com/@arwenjayne Unsplash has strict standards so I'm always pleased when my latest ones scrape through their checks. Only had two rejects out of my latest batch - my ice patterns on glass but they must have liked the scenery.

23.01.2022 An hour long philosophical history of how we came to see the universe as a machine but how, some at least, are starting to view it as an organism. Consciousness expressing itself. If you want to skip the history the good stuff is in the second half but taken as a whole it does take you through a step by step philosophical journey to where we are now

22.01.2022 Hello to any of my fans with a cat. I've got a short story ready to publish but needing a bad tempered cat for the cover. Our heroine arrives home at lunchtime to find her veterinary assistant friend Tracy with a kitten who's doomed if she doesn't take him. Named Effin by the vet who took an instant dislike to him, he's been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In the story I've written him as a Siberian Forest Cat, roughly a mix of grey, brown and black colours. Does anyone have a grumpy or arrogant cat in roughly one of those colours? I'm thinking a closeup on the eyes then it won't matter that it's a cat and not a kitten. I've called the short story Finding Eden. There's a few novels by that name out there but I guess it doesn't matter. It's about a psychic private investigator who can do remote viewing to find things or people.

21.01.2022 Solstice tomorrow at around 7:44 am Australian eastern standard Time

19.01.2022 Finally I have finished the draft of my latest book. Now the long haul of editing and publishing. Sometimes I think that is the hardest step. The weather here has started settling into its winter mode. The cooler days are keeping me inside so I often find myself at the keyboard. The 'office' is at the wood heater end of the living room. I've put my name down to get up at 4am for an astrology meetup about the impending solstice via Astrology Hub - my other half says getting up at that hour is self inflicted. The problems of being at the other end of the globe to where everything happens. Looking forward to it though.

19.01.2022 After the driest July on record we now have an end of winter cold blast headed our way. I thought I'd get a photo of the first of the daffodils before they disappear under a blanket of snow. That's my poly tunnel in the background. It's the first time in four years I've been home to see the daffodils. Usually I'm living in a caravan somewhere in the outback north of Wagga. Wagga Wagga is a town in mid NSW and for me it's that magical line where, going north, the shoes come off and the thongs go on.

17.01.2022 Keeping an eagle's perspective can help us gain a broader perspective on the year we're all living through. I find it helps to enjoy the sky, the shifting clouds, sun, sunsets, changing phases of the moon. It connects me to something vaster. At the same time going within my heart and trusting in the universe's long game even though some of the short term stuff is hard to fathom.

17.01.2022 I've been using this meditation for the last week to help me release some old energetic patterns and to protect myself energetically. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MuAkxpSzoXY

16.01.2022 Landmark decision It’s a big win for all of us on the LBGTQ rainbow spectrum. My sister’s voice was full of such happiness that she would be legally protected a...gainst discrimination in America. She and her wonderful wife now have protection under the law that heterosexual people take for granted. I’m polyamorous, which means to love more, so legally my fourple (the four people that make up our couple) still can’t legally wed each other, but now if someone in the workplace finds out about our less than typical lifestyle they can’t fire one of us for it. Or if they do, the Supreme Court says the law is on our side for a change. https://www.npr.org//supreme-court-delivers-major-victory-

16.01.2022 Pam Gregory reminds us that even when we are constrained we still have the freedom to choose our thoughts and the freedom to be grateful for that. And that our current frequency (vibes if you prefer) creates our future manifestation. People respond to how we are. Those responses create our circumstances. https://youtu.be/4I9dh0MWxK8

14.01.2022 Mars is Aries until January 2021, a time of conflict perhaps but on the upside it's a time to connect with our inner hero. As we shift slowly, inch by inch, into the age of aquarius its time to broading our awareness as beings. In prehistory we identified as family units, later as tribes, then countries. Of late a few have been starting to see themselves as beings of one planet, like we're all in this together so let's get our act together. But we need to go one step further and start thinking of ourselves as citizens of this galaxy. https://youtu.be/xblVrIN_Bwo

14.01.2022 Now available, my latest: Oh No You Don't! I'm guessing quite a few of us have been there - the boss that want's us to stay late on Friday to do some work that would never have been urgent if we'd known about it before. But Terri, has her ways of dealing with such things, even if it means risking her job. An amateur radio operator she lives West of the Great Divide, outside a hot dry town that has recently become a transport and logistics hub. When she's not at work or on the... airwaves she'd down her local pub enjoying a cider with friends. But she has a bit of an issue with electricity, she generates it. As usual my intent is a light hearted fun read with a bit of bleeding edge science and metaphysics mixed in. Enjoy. Ebook only at the moment, I'll let you know when the paper back is out. Many thanks all those who helped make this one the best yet. I only put fingers to the keyboard, there's a lot of help and support that goes on behind the scenes. See more

13.01.2022 What a difference a couple of weeks makes. I've got seedling punnets sprouting lots of veg ready for spring. In the meantime Oh No You Don't's had over 140 downloads. Many thanks for rewarding me with a read. Don't forget to leave feedback on the site where you source it. I've got two stories brewing. One will be the finale of the Martian Vampire Chronicles. I love the characters but after two series and thirteen novels it's nearly told the story I wanted to tell - but I coul...d always be wrong about that. While I play with the plot for that one I'm working on a paranormal private detective one, initially as a one off. She can find things through remote viewing but she also protects herself and battles the baddies using a fair bit of magic. Going back over what I know of magic I realised I didn't resonate with much of it. Fortunately the local second hand book shop owner is a magician and he's put me onto to reading about chaos and angel magick. I think from that I can develop something that doesn't get bogged down in arcane rituals. Something I think I'll call "natural magick", marrying it back to modern mind science and the laws of manifestation. I really think the whole world is our joint creation anyway. Everything is magick. 12.01.2022 Of the two stories I'm working on the standalone psychic private detective one is on a run. I have the whole plot now. Not sure if it will be book length, I'll let the story dictate it. It's meant I've had to revisit a lot of stuff I was interested in the past, discarding, sifting and looking for the new. Two books that have provided powerful inspiration are the Ars Vercanus: Advanced Magickal Techniques by Vasilios Wennergren and Lynn Wennergren (still working my way throug...h that one as its a considerable but enlightening read) and the other was recently recommended to me is Straight from the Horse's Mouth: How to Talk to Animals and Get Answers by Amelia Kinkade. I was a bit skeptical at first so I just downloaded a sample but enjoyed it so much I downloaded the rest. Just as applicable to people as animals I think. If you're interested in telepathy it may be one for you: https://www.amazon.com/Straight-Horses-Mouth-A//B004O4CZLU See more

10.01.2022 Kaypacha has a great mantra for this coming weekend: I have seen and heard enough, To call a spade a spade, I need to own and speak my truth,... Before it is too late https://youtu.be/2V15FfLO6Gk

09.01.2022 I made these today for lunch, served with steamed silverbeet straight from the garden. Would also make great transportable picnic food. I substituted a heaped desertspoon of psyllium for the egg. https://lovefoodnourish.com/turmeric-veggie-rice-balls-wit/

07.01.2022 A warrior woman's approach to standing up for yourself. Getting past the impulse to say F.U. Being aware of how we speak in conflict. Watching out for the Justifiers and the self righteous. Knowing where our boundaries are and being mindful of who we let into our inner circle. Working through feelings of rage rather than letting them fester. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FmMTb2lF7jM

03.01.2022 Well what came of my getting up at 4am, on the coldest night of the year so far :) Armed with ugg boots a hot cup of chamomile and a good fan heater I enjoyed two hours of the webinar before my body said enough, time to go back to bed. The seminar had several astrologers, many with a shamanistic or spiritual take on things. What stood out was the positive nature of the discussion. Sure there was a mention of Mars going into Aries and the possibility of escalations of global ...aggression and conflict but most of the emphasis was on a shift in our approach to ourselves and each other. In my own words, what they were saying is that we have been taught the big lie, to fear ourselves and each other. The predator in the mind, as Tami Brunk called it, keeps telling us that we are not enough. We are all grappling with a level of self loathing as a species and as individuals. We need to practice kindness to ourselves, as our core priority and then go in ever increasing circles out from that. Gemini Brett looked at where the coming solar eclipse is occurring in the milky way, shortly after the solstice. He talked about the need for balancing our embrace of technology with the needs of the heart. Stormi took up the technology discussion by asking us to see if our social media presence truly represented who we are. Are we being authentic? Tami talked about taking ourselves out of the box other people have put us in and reminded us that no-one has the wisdom we have. We each have a unique perspective. Overall the shift discussed focused on how we deal with shame: self shame, shame of our ancestors and of our society. I think the quote of the seminar came from Gemini Brett when he said "there is no revolution without revelation." R without R risks us returning to what we try to change. By acting with a whole body focused awareness rather than only on what our minds perceive and analyse we can get in touch with what is our yes and our no, from the deep wisdom within. See more

01.01.2022 Why do we say yes when we really want to say no? Schools, employers, governments, churches, family ... They all condition us that to say yes means we're a 'nice' person, dutiful and obedient, a team player. That if we say no we're selfish, bad, rebellious. The implied fear is that if we disobey there will be consequences; loss of love, security, a job, others close to us will be made to suffer. The predators of this world know this fear and use it to their advantage. It is bo...th a carrot and a stick approach that promises rewards such as security, salvation or a promotion if we comply with their wishes and consequences if we don't. It's what keeps people in jobs they hate, in marriages where there is pain and manipulation or turning a blind eye to what is blatantly wrong. We are told to allow environmental damage because it will mean prosperity and jobs. The domestically abused stay in relationships because it feels safer that the potentially scary world outside, usually because their partners have skillfully over time taught them to doubt themselves, that they won't cope. Saying no comes from a place of deep courage, not because our story or our needs are more important than anyone else's but because they are AS important. The power imbalances in this world will never heal until we can make this stand for ourselves and we allow others to do the same. When saying yes will only bring misery, let's say no! https://www.amazon.com//dp/B004SOVCDI/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0
