16.01.2022 Autumn is for Breathing We nourish our body through food but also with conscious breathing. So simple to create more energy by tuning in to the season with breathing and seasonal foods. Breathe constantly like a great tree.

16.01.2022 Autumn leads with the Lungs Autumn is ruled by the energetic of contraction. This is the gathering in phase, the drawing in of breath. We see it in nature as trees draw back their energy to the roots and their leaves dry and fall. Like the leaves, our skin can become dry from the sun and exposure of summer as we draw back our energy from the surface with the season energy. Now is the time to exfoliate and nourish. A face mask of organic yogurt and honey will shed a few layers of skin cells (via the lactic acid) and the honey will nourish and protect. Lie with the mask on for 20minutes breathing and drawing your energy back into your pelvis. These rituals bring us into balance with the season.

10.01.2022 It’s Green Walnut wild-foraging along the streams and gullies in Daylesford. I’m collecting for my annual oil infusion that is the basis of skin oils and perfumes. The smell of the flesh of the outer shell is really captivating and finds its way into the oil and brings an SPF factor to the oil of about 10. This oil is quite like Jojoba but possibly penetrates the skin more quickly and is a little lighter - so perfect for sweaty summer weather. I use it at night to cleanse the skin and can still feel the lipid effect the next morning. I feel fresh and hydrated after using it so it makes a wonderful foundation for a perfumed body oil with so many health benefits. I will post some introductory deals when it’s all bottled up.
