23.01.2022 Last night Peter McNamara died after a long fight against cancer. Another hero, another legend I was privileged to work with you. Thank you Peter for all the great moments we shared with you at ever-court. Great, genuine person, great teamplayer. Im so happy I could catch up with you once more at the Australian Open. RIP

22.01.2022 Dear players! In the current situation I should be happy not to work in my profession as a doctor, as I would be at very high risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus. However, my medical background certainly helps understanding the severity of the disease and enables me to regularly exchange knowledge, experiences and reports with my colleagues in Australia and overseas, especially Europe. It is NOT a CHOICE to act according to guidelines that are aiming at the communitys he...alth protection! On my court we WILL strictly follow the rules of social distancing and hygiene precautions to do our best regarding maintaining a healthy lifestyle while keeping ourselves and others safe. From tomorrow (Friday 20th of March) there will slight adjustments of the Tennis Gym program made to ensure guidelines can be followed appropriately. Its preparation time at home for me now....... 21.01.2022 Last Tennis Gym session of term 2 at the Sporties Tennis-Club: welcoming Amy to the program and saying Auf Wiedersehen to our Superstar Lea from Germany. Lea has been enriching our sessions over the last 9 months with her lovely nature, her positive vibe and -of course- her great skills on court! We will miss this gorgeous girl and wish her all the best back home with university, tennis and joy of life....!!! Well meet again!

20.01.2022 Gestern, 16.09.19. wurden im Sydney Opera House durch die ehemaligen Aussie Tennis Greats Ken Rosewall, John Newcombe, Pat Rafter und Leyton Hewitt die Gruppene...inteilung fr den vom 03.-12.01.2020 in Australien erstmals stattfindenden ATP Cup 2020 ausgelost. Dabei ergab sich, dass Deutschland in der Vorrunde wie schon bei der letztjhrigen Davis Cup- Begegnung wieder in Brisbane und wieder gegen Australien spielen wird, mit Griechenland und Kanada als weiteren Gruppengegnern. Neben Brisbane sind auch Perth und Sydney Austragungsorte fr die Vorrunden- Matches, die Finalrunde findet dann in Sydney statt. 27 der 30 lt. Weltrangliste bestplatzierten Spieler haben ihre Teilnahme bereits zugesagt. Wie der Fachpresse zu entnehmen ist, soll im deutschen Team neben Top-Spieler Alexander Zverev als weiterer Einzel-Spieler Jan- Lennard Struff eingesetzt werden, als Teamchef wird Boris Becker genannt. Wer Doppel spielen wird, ist noch offen.

Dylan and Camden playing their way through their pools and Maxim and Hendrix taking it that step further..... Hendrix reaches his first JDS final and wins the runner-up trophy, Maxim finishing third Im very proud of my handsome crew!

17.01.2022 Under the new directive (as of this morning) Outdoor exercising is still allowed if not in large groups. Daily physical activity is important for our health and wellbeing. At As Tennis Gym Im not only strictly following the protocol, I also incorporate my medical expertise to ensure all my participants are safe and protected! However, at this stage I dont accept any new enrolments. Current players are thoroughly briefed and familiarised with the session procedure and I would like to keep these groups small and together. 15.01.2022 I feel extremely grateful for the (job) opportunities I was offered in my life, the adventures I have shared with very special people and the experiences and memories that I have made all over the world. I dont believe in luck, I believe everything happens for a reason. Today I dedicated my sessions to Peter McNamara, a very special man, an idol, mentor, an athlete of exceptional character. An Aussie who loved Germany and the Germans. -I switched on the playlist, Australia...n Classics, interval training, rest, laughs, intense drills, more laughs, competitive point play, grit, determination to win, end of session, stretches, relaxation, a chat. A session that reflected him, Peter, the one who knew how to balance professionalism, discipline and hard work on the one hand and fun and humor on the other. RIP, you legend. Today this amazing A-Team finished their first 5-week-block of combined gym-circuit/tennis-training sessions. With fantastic results and always in a COVID-safe environment!!! 06.01.2022 Last weekend at the Champions of Champions tournament in Grafton these four young players proudly represented the Sporties and As Tennis Gym. After a series of eight JDS tournaments in the Lower North East Region the top 8 players of each age group qualified for the next stage: Camden in the U14 Dylan in the U12 Maxim and Hendrix in the U10... All four boys displayed their best tennis over two very windy tournament days and achieved incredible results. Dylan had qualified for the second time and finished 15th, Camden, Maxim and Hendrix gave their debut and placed 16th, 9th and 6th!!! Hendrix is now advancing to the next Champions of Champions level in Inverell at the end of this month, Maxim will be first reserve. Great job, boys! We are very proud of you!!!
