22.01.2022 Jokes aside, anxiety is the real deal. It can be a major drain on quality of life. I treat a lot of people with anxiety and what I try and do is distinguish if the patient is suffering Situational anxiety, which you might get ONLY from social situations, hights, spiders ect, from Generalized anxiety where you are always anxious or tense on some level. Situational anxiety might be best talked through with a psychologist as to why or what happened in the past to leave you drea...ding that situation. However, Generalized anxiety is extremely debilitating, as there is no immediate reason you should be on edge, but you are. Ruminating on negative thoughts, usually the worse case scenarios unfortunately. Generalized anxiety can flair up with situational anxiety too, however, is still there when youre alone too. I see generalized anxiety as more of a metabolic cause. Deficiencies in nutrients that help you produce GABA, underlying infection, intestinal permeability, adrenal issues, pyroluria, SIBO and food sensitivities may all be potential underlying causes for generalized anxiety. 20.01.2022 Garlic. Natures anitbiotic. My favorite food/vegetable. Why??? Its like putting your immune system on steriods. Actions of garlic- Diaphoretic- induces sweating to break a fever.... Expectorant- helps bring up and move subborn mucus. Antiseptic- prevents the growth of disease causing microorganisms. Antiviral- Im sure you can work this one out Antihelminthic- antiparasitic Hypolipidaemic- reduces cholesterol Mild Hypotensive- reduces blood pressure. Plus it contains sulphur which your liver uses as a weapon to detoxify your blood stream. Ok thats great. Now what is the down side??? For the greatest action it needs to be consumed raw, within 5 minutes of chopping or crushing as the active constituent Allicin is volatile and degraded quickly. I usually pop tablet size pieces in my mouth with a mouthful of dinner Im about to swallow and swallow it straight down, DO NOT CHEW unless you want garlic breath lol Do not consume on and empty stomach and it can make sensitive individuals nauseas. Another negative is you will smell like garlic for a few days until your body gets used to metabolising the sulphur. Maintenance dose- 1 clove a day. Acute illness dose- 1-3 cloves a day. Get into it

14.01.2022 My 10 years in clinic helping people lose weight has taught me a few things, but this is probably the main one. Most people who embark on a weightloss journey are usually already struggling with low energy/mood/motivation. Its why theyre attracted to the energy dense "quick fix" foods, caffeine and alcohol in the first place. These substances may conveniently pick up your energy and mood short term, however, usually at the expense of feeling just as bad, if not worse a few... hours later, plus weight gain as your insulin rises and blood sugar plummets over and over again. If youre already exhausted, try to "cut calories", AND add exercise on top its usually enough stress on the nervous system to get people to a) get hungry and "break" their diet or b) get fatigued and stop exercising within a month or 2. 01.01.2022 Blodgettdentalcare is the best Instagram page youre not following. If you have root canals (average for and American adult is 2 so Im assuming Aus is similar) dont just assume theyre ok. With the introduction of a conebeam x-ray theyre able to see infection trapped behind root canaled teeth that a normal 2D x-ray wont pick up. ... I had a few root canals as I havent always lived a healthy lifestyle. My teeth werent giving me any pain or discomfort, however, out of curiosity and all the negative things Id heard about root canals, I took myself off and had a conebeam xray. I was astounded to find nearly all of my root canals had infection trapped behind them!!! The dentist couldnt believe I didnt feel worse, which is possibly a testimate to my health lifestyle My poor body was having to deal with endontic endotoxin on a daily basis. However, some are not so lucky as endontic endotoxin from infection is linked to major depression, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and the list goes on. My message is if youre in doubt, go find a holistic dentist and get the scan done!
