23.01.2022 It’s nearly time...

16.01.2022 I have one clinic to go, on Sunday. I have a tidy pile of workbooks printed and ready to hand in. My first aid course is booked for Saturday. All the components of my Certificate 4 will be complete by the end of the month. Maggie (the owner of the School) asked me today if I was feeling confident. I really am! I have learned so much, especially during clinics, I am looking forward to developing my knowledge, skills and techniques as a qualified therapist. Once the ravages of... the epidemic leave us, I will explore continuing my education and progress through the Diploma and Advanced Diploma. I love learning about our bodies and what makes them work and how massage can play a role in our healing and restoration processes. Next time I post, I will be almost ready to take your booking for a therapeutic treatment! Keep an eye out for when I am finally able to add my first clients to Ascend Massage, you will be able to tell because I will be posting a photo of me with a shiny new certificate :)

12.01.2022 Well, what a time to be writing a Business Plan. I have 2.5 clinics to complete, a handful of workbooks to turn in, a first aid certificate to attain and I will be finished the requirements of the Cert 4 stage of my journey to becoming a remedial massage therapist. With the wonderful benefit of hindsight, it now seems a solid decision to have converted to the Cert 4 course and delay the Diploma. COVID-19 has wrought such havoc across the world, it feels like a small drop of f...ortune landed on me as I realise I would have been stranded part-way through a course with no foreseable way to complete it. At least, lockdowns staying clear for a few more weeks, I will have completed this part. So, pandemic notwithstanding, if all goes as smoothly as one can expect in 2020 *cue nervous laughs and shuffling sidesteps* I will soon be able to accept clients and I look forward to being able to help people achieve their health and lifestyle goals. I am a little bit excited!
