13.01.2022 Ascent Consulting Engineers was recently engaged to advise a purchaser of a property that had concerns about structural and non-structural items that were not adequately addressed in a Building & Pest Inspection Report. We found the following key items among other things: - poorly supported brickwork - inadequate waterproofing ... - concrete spalling - corroded steel support posts. We provided a balanced report that the purchaser was able to use to successfully and reasonably negotiate with the vendor. Our client had the following to say: "Ascent Engineering were invaluable in their review of our property. They found multiple significant items that the building inspector had omitted from his report. We were fortunate to have them on site prior to purchasing so could negotiate the purchase price based on the large items uncovered so that we werent left footing a bill to fix items.
