11.01.2022 Thanks for visiting my page! I’m standing as a Labor candidate for Moonee Valley Council in Myrnong (which covers Flemington, Ascot Vale, Travancore, Moonee Pon...ds and a little bit of Essendon). I am a Moonee Valley resident of 10 years. I live in Moonee Ponds with my husband and nearly one year old son. This year we have relied on a number of council services, and I understand what an important role Council plays in shaping and supporting our community. I want to represent you so that we can ensure that Moonee Valley Council is fighting for the things our community cares about, like: Regaining control of development in Moonee Valley and putting in place planning controls that will protect the heritage and character of our neighbourhoods Protecting and expanding our open green spaces Creating a connected network of safe bike and pedestrian paths Investing in the essential services that keep our community healthy and connected like aged care, maternal and child health, libraries, kindergartens, childcare and youth services Taking meaningful action to reduce our impact on the environment Supporting our residents, families, local businesses, artists, sporting clubs and community groups through COVID recovery In my conversations during this campaign, many of you have told me that you don’t know what the Council is doing, or how they are spending our rates. Like you, I believe our council needs to communicate and consult better with the community, and make sure that it is representing community priorities. As a Councillor I would make it my priority to listen to you, to actively seek your views, to be open and transparent about my decisions, to empower the voices of our community leaders and collaborate on community projects. If you have any concerns, ideas, or questions, please get in touch with me. I’d love to have a chat with you about how we can improve Moonee Valley Council.

03.01.2022 A huge crowd of enthusiastic Australian Labor Party members filled the City of Melbourne Bowls Club in Flagstaff Gardens last night for our Melbourne FEA: Meet ...the Preselection Candidates Forum. The five preselection candidates all made strong cases for their selection to local members and then enjoyed a passionate, engaging and thoughtful Q&A conversation across a wide range of topics (and an unexpected cameo by 'My Kitchen Rules' judge, Manu Feildel!) The FEA Exec wishes to thank everyone who came along and contributed to what was a terrific evening.
