The sheer number of eggs they lay in an infestation, delaying action on these little buggers can have a disastrous outcome! The season is from around September through to April, and after heavy rainfall.... How do you know you have them? You can mix water and detergent in a bucket, pour on a small space near the damaged lawn and see if the grubs come to the surface. At night with a good quality torch get close to your lawn and you can see the caterpillars up to 4cm in length of green/ brown colour. Leave a backyard light on for a few hours, if you have excess moths around the light this could be a sign. Catch a couple and take to the nursery to ID and get the best treatment. Treatment for Army worm can be through either chemical or natural methods. Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's representative’s, have said that the remainder of the project is due to conclude by the end of the year. Visitors to the airport will notice that about three quarters of the former terminal has been demolished and replaced by the frame of the updated terminal, with concrete slabs, structural steelwork and the majority of the roof already ins...talled. In coming months, council’s builder - AW Edwards - will focus on closing in the building exterior and commencing the internal fit out of the new departure lounge, amenities, café, retail area, car rental desks and passenger screening area.
