25.01.2022 FLOSSING. Nearly half the surface area of your teeth lies between them; so if you're not flossing, you're not cleaning a large portion of your teeth. By removing plaque you're helping to prevent gum disease, tooth decay and bad breath. Ideally, you should be flossing once a day. Here's a few tips to help - 1. Wind about 45cm of floss around your middle fingers and rest it across your thumbs and index fingers. 2. Use a gentle up and down motion that goes down one side of the t...ooth, just under the collar of the gum and then back up the other side. 3. 01.01.2022 IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TECHNIQUE. You should clean your teeth systematically, start at the back with the toothbrush at the gumline or a 45 angle, brushing in a circular motion and finishing with a spit, not a rinse. You should be brushing for at least 2minutes twice a day, spending roughly 30secs on each quarter of your mouth. It is best to use a soft bristled brush with a small head and flexible neck as this will most effectively remove plaque and debris from your teeth without... damaging your teeth and gums. You only need a pea sized amount of toothpaste on your brush. Try to replace your toothbrush every 3months or at the first sign of wear.
