Harmony Week is all about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values. Here are a couple of fun facts about diversity in Australia: 1. Nearly half (49 per cent) of Aussies were born overseas or have at least one parent who was 2. There are over 300 languages spoken in Aussie homes. More than one-fifth (21%) of Aussies spoke a language other than English at home. 3. More than 70 Indigenous languages are spoken in Australia.

09.01.2022 ALUMNI PROFILE | Dante is in Grade 11 at Kirwan State High School in Townsville, North Queensland. Dante founded 'Darnell's Mowing' and spends his afternoons and weekends taking his mower to neighbouring streets and offers his mowing and landscaping services. Dante has displayed incredible sales skills and is motivated to keep generating an income for himself. To date, he's already generated more than $1,400 of income. Congratulations Dante!

09.01.2022 FUTURE IS FEMALE HQ | The Australian School of Entrepreneurship (ASE) has launched Future is Female HQ a free online leadership and business program for up to 5,000 young females living in Queensland. The program has been supported and funded by the Queensland Government’s Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.

08.01.2022 CREATING YOUR FUTURE JOB | Well done to our Indigenous Boys Group for raising more than $850 from the Eco-Dry Car Wash on Friday. The funds will be equally divided and will seed fund their individual business or social change ideas. One of the Managers of Super Car Rides saw the boys cleaning cars outside during the day. He then contracted the boys to polish the super cars in the evening. Thank you Lamaq, Chris and the rest of the team for supporting the boys. A big thank you also goes to Stockland - we appreciate your continued support and sponsorship of this program!

We were incredibly lucky to be joined by the inspirational Jan Owen AM and Jack Berne, Founder of Fiverr for a Farmer - the young man who raised over $2m for the farmers during the drought. In the words of Jan, ‘Entrepreneurial education is the perfect blend of the teaching of deeply human skills + technical skills.’ We absolutely agree!
