23.01.2022 Shelly Beach Running Cub welcomes runners of all types and abilities. Our objective is to support members in their running interests as we all enjoy running. Our club has a great reputation for fun, fellowship and mutual support. The run club is about, learning to run, with other likeminded people that have the same goals in mind. Start small steps, with a goal to run, with better technique and form, increase the distance you run, progressing to run further each week, from novice to advance athletes, everybody is managed and assessed on their own ability and is able to perform at their own level and pace.

It makes your legs hurt, your lungs hurt, and just about every other part of your body. Your body basically feels like a moving bucket of ouch. You can’t breathe, you sweat in your eyes, you smell gross, and you can’t hang out with your friends because you spend 99.9% of your free time running. Just running. ... Some days when you do intervals, you want to cry. You want to lay on your back in the middle of the track and scream at the sky because it’s been forever since your times improved and you literally in that moment, want nothing more than to improve. But something keeps you on your feet, and you hobble over to the water station and when your coach tells you to, you get your ass back on the line and you f@^ing run your heart out. But that is what running is. You hate it, you despise it, but it’s become a part of you. No matter how much it hurts and drives you to the ends of hell and back, you would never let it go. 19.01.2022 Ashayne Fitness,why its important and how to Return to Gym Based Workouts safely and Effectively With the announcement that gyms will be opening in the next couple of weeks , I am sure everyone is excited to get back into their favorite gym-based routines. Even though most people have been great and staying consistent with outdoor training,and home base workouts, it’s important not too go too hard and expect to be able to do the same intensity workouts you were ...doing pre quarantine. It’s important to be aware that strength levels will have dropped in this time. Outdoor training is great, especially for conditioning and fitness but not ideal to maximize strength. Give yourself 2-4 weeks to get back to previous weights you were doing, especially in compound lifts like squats and deadlifts. If you go too hard too early you risk excessive soreness and also injury so just take it slow and ease back into your gym workouts with a moderate approach, knowing you should be back to full capacity in few weeks.
