21.01.2022 I want to wish you all a wonderful and safe New Years Eve Thank you to all of my amazing clients that have supported me thru 2020. I have photographed 8 weddings, 11 births of beautiful babies (one born sleeping), 4 sweet newborns, 4 angel babies that weren’t able to stay on the earth, 18 wonderful families, 6 pregnant mumma’s....and I have lost count with how many placenta’s I have encapsulated in 2020, I am expecting it to be even busier for PE next year as 2 of my fello...w encapsulation specialists have decided to take a break for a while. I am looking forward to what 2021 brings me, hoping to be even busier with more births and babies and weddings Enjoy your last night of 2020 and I will see you next year ~ Tamara

Her time on earth was fleeting but made a beautiful imprint on not only her parents and sisters but on me as well. Her name will stay with me forever as a reminder to be grateful for all the things. <3 <3

15.01.2022 ~The umbilical cord~ It is a conduit between the developing baby and the placenta. During prenatal development, the umbilical cord is physiologically and genetically part of the baby and (in humans) normally contains two arteries (the umbilical arteries) and one vein (the umbilical vein), buried within Wharton's jelly. The umbilical vein supplies the fetus with oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood from the placenta. Conversely, the baby's heart pumps low oxygen containing blood, ...nutrient-depleted blood through the umbilical arteries back to the placenta. The cord is not directly connected to the mother's circulatory system, but instead joins the placenta, which transfers materials to and from the maternal blood without allowing direct mixing. The length of the umbilical cord is approximately equal to the crown-rump length of the baby throughout pregnancy. The umbilical cord in a full term baby is usually about 50cm long and about 2cm in diameter. This diameter decreases rapidly within the placenta. #FunFactFriday #isntthehumanbodyamazing See more
