25.01.2022 On Friday we joined 3400 schools in the Music: Count Us In celebration. Hundreds of thousands of students across Australia sang this song simultaneously. Our students sang and played instruments to the song, You Won’t Bring Us Down. They also used AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) while singing.

18.01.2022 Coder Dojo @ SRC is relaunching for 2020! The Coder Dojo based at Southern River College is a fantastic opportunity for your students and their parents to learn the basics of coding in a safe and structured environment. Students will have opportunities to get hands on and write codes to create cool games and programs that can assist people in the community. The Coder Dojo @ SRC will run one hour sessions every fortnight in R27A at Southern River College. Students and parents/...guardians from Southern River College and surrounding schools are welcome. 16.01.2022 Ashburton Drive Primary School will be celebrating Book Week in Term 4 this year! This year our Dress Up Parade will be on Wednesday 21st October 2020 at 9am in the undercover area followed by a small parade in the early childhood centre for the kindys. Costumes will be judged by how closely they reflect this years theme Curious Creatures, Wild Minds'. So this is your chance to get creative over the school holidays.

14.01.2022 Room 9 and 8 were lucky to have a Young Engineers incursion today. Mrs Williams applied for it on Facebook and was given time for two classes. The students made a conveyor belt out of lego and had so much fun.

11.01.2022 As part of our Science Week celebrations, some classes attended the wetlands to plant new trees yesterday. The classes learned about the importance of plants in the wetlands and how to plant and care for them.

09.01.2022 Week three and four of Term 3 the focus of our PBS lessons (Positive Behaviour Support) is to Help Others and is taken from our focus area of Participate Positively by Yerdarap. Please support us by discussing this with your children and encouraging them to help others both at home and school.
09.01.2022 This afternoon, our very talented and dedicated year 5 Brass students, together with their lovely teacher Mrs Tait, treated the year 4s to a couple of beautifully played tunes. It was a great opportunity for students to see the instruments they could learn to play next year. By the end of this year, ten year 4 students will be selected to learn to play an instrument (brass or classical guitar), in year 5 & 6. It was lovely to see our students truly inspired.

08.01.2022 Yesterday, our students were treated to a wonderful performance by the Mungart Yongah Nyoongah Arts Enterprise. We also participated in a traditional Smoking Ceremony which was very special.
08.01.2022 Today Room 8 and 9 were lucky enough to be product testers for a brand new type of slime. We stretched it, blew bubbles with it and had an awesome time discovering other things that could be done. Hopefully our review will be published in the next issue of the Just Kidding Magazine.
08.01.2022 The student councillors had a wonderful time at Parliament House today with Terry Healy MLA and Matt Swinbourn MLC. They enjoyed a small tour of Parliament House and an AMAZING working lunch where they discussed community needs for the youth of Gosnells.

04.01.2022 Today Room 8 celebrated World Outdoor Education day. Starting with a karate session with the amazing Katie Peos, then making s’mores in a hand made solar oven, followed by a netball drills session with Neve and Nikita and finishing it all off with some drawings at the wetlands. A fantastic day was had by all!
