25.01.2022 Friday 11th June 2021 Great N E W S We are O P E N We are very excited to advise that due to easing of Covid-19 restrictions, our full trading hours and services have resumed today. O P E N I N G - H O U R S:... Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm and Saturday 9.00am to 3.00pm. To keep everyone safe, we request that when your arrive at our store that you check in with our QR Code or visitor list, wear a mask, maintain social distancing and use hand sanitiser. Looking forward to seeing you again soon and hope that the rest of 2021 is trouble free.



23.01.2022 Thank you for all your support during this latest Stage 3 lockdown. Our first regards, as always, remains the health of all of you! Ashburton Eyecare will remain open, however we will be operating on limited hours on certain days.... As of now, our hours will change to the following: Eye Testing: Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays: 9:00AM - 5.30PM Outside of these consulting hours, we are still open six days a week for your general optical needs. Wednesdays & Thursdays 10.00AM - 2.00PM Saturday 9AM - 1PM Given the frequency of government announcements we ask for your patience in relation to future updates. We will inform you if there are any changes that affect Ashburton Eyecare as we become aware of them. The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital will be available 24/7 for any eye emergencies that present outside of our opening hours. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult period. We look forward to resuming our regular trading hours as soon as permissible. 23.01.2022 OCTOBER UPDATE ASHBURTON EYECARE In line with restrictions issued from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Optometry Association of Australia, we continue to take precautionary and extra measures in the practice, to keep us all safe. Your visit to our practice will look a bit different at the moment with all staff wearing face masks and utilising PPE. Our practice is extra clean due to disinfection, and sneeze guards on Optometry equipment. We continue t...o limit the number of people in the practice and remind to maintain social distancing and to please wear a face mask. On arrival to our practice you will be asked to use hand sanitiser, fill in an attendance register and practice staff will take your temperature. Eye examinations are only available for urgent and essential care and for people with chronic eye diseases. Please call us on 9885 1659 to clarify if you fit into these criteria’s. Additionally we have a waiting list for our patients who would like a routine eye examination. We will call you to make a booking as soon as we are allowed and it is safe to do so. Our stage 4 OPENING HOURS are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday - 9.30am to 2.00pm Tuesday and Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm Eye Exams available for urgent, chronic and essential care. 03.01.2022 August 2020 Update. Under stage 4 restrictions, we remain open and are only permitted to provide urgent and essential care. Our OPENING HOURS are as follows: Tuesdays and Fridays - 9.00am to 5.30pm with urgent and essential eye examinations available. Otherwise we are open on Monday, Wednesday,Thursday & Saturday from - 9.30am to 2.00pm. We are closed on Sunday’s and Public Holiday’s.... What could be classified as urgent Care? - Care that is necessary to prevent deterioration of an established condition. - Care for conditions that are likely to pose a risk to your eye health or impact your ability to function day to day, including for work, driving etc. This may include: - A sudden loss of vision - Pain and redness in the eye - Seeing haloes, or circles around lights - New floaters or flashes of light - Bulging or swelling of the eye - Double vision - Sudden and persistent blurred vision - An eye injury - Unexplained headache - An inability to see properly that interferes with your ability to work or perform regular duties - Replacement of spectacles due to breakage or loss can be facilitated. We’re Here to Help! Please contact our friendly team who will be happy to advise whether a face to face appointment is appropriate for you under stage 4 restrictions. You will not require a medical referral for urgent care treatment, and you are able to travel more than 5km for a clinical appointment if deemed necessary. We recommend you have your appointment confirmation available as a point of reference if you are asked. Keeping You Safe: In addition to a COVID-Safe Plan, we continue to maintain stringent infection control procedures and preventative measures so you can access expert eyecare in a safe, controlled environment. Need to Order Contact Lenses? Ordering of contact lenses is still available, and if preferred our practice can arrange contact-less delivery to your home.
