23.01.2022 Unfortunately, our Clubs Cup run comes to an end, after losing in Golden Goal tonight 6-7. We gave it everything. To everyone who came out and watched, or tuned in on the live stream, we hope we did you proud. Good luck to Campbellfield FC in the Semi Finals. Can’t wait to do it all over again soon.

17.01.2022 Back with a bang! Ashburton start 2020 off with a convincing win earlier tonight. Shelton Frimpong was at his very best today, being our stand out player. Frimpong goes by many nicknames. Some call him Mr EA Sports. Others call him Mr Carpark, or La Bestia.... Tonight, he can be called the man of the match!

12.01.2022 Tonight we take on Campbellfield FC in the Quarterfinals of the Clubs Cup at 10pm. The game will be live streamed on Facebook for those who can’t make it. This is the furthest the club has ever gone in this competition. Although many pundits haven’t given us much of a chance going into the game, we think the game will be a lot closer than anticipated. Here are a few reasons why.... 1. One of our players now officially runs a pasta bar: Everyone has eagerly anticipated the opening of Giglia Catering’s Pasta Bar on 33 Sydney Road, Coburg (we suggest everyone go check it out) for quite a while now. We can happily say Angelo has now officially opened the restaurant, which has been beneficial to all at Ashburton. We have been carb loading for the past two weeks at the restaurant in anticipation for the match. We suspect due to this, we will have enough energy to outrun our opponents (pictured below: head chief Angelo with Adrian on opening night). 2. We have recently come into an exorbitant amount of money due to our new deal with Tinder, making us the wealthiest futsal club in all of Australia: The dating application has noticed an excessive amount of use coming from the Ashburton boys, and in response, reached out to the club to do business. We are glad to welcome them onboard, and are honoured that they have upgraded all of our accounts to gold status. The club hopes that the boys increased chances of finding love will translate into better performances tonight, assisting the players get into an optimal mindset for the match. We also believe it will result in higher testosterone levels for our players, which will hopefully led to highly aggressive (but fair) play on the pitch tonight. We thank our new sponsors for the pre-match hats (pictured below), which all players will be wearing to the game tonight. 3. 25,000 tickets have been pre-purchased by Ashburton members: You thought we had a big turnout last time? Wait until you see how many of our members will be in our active-zone tonight. The support our fans have showed us throughout the cup has been essential to our successful run so far. We look forward to seeing the biggest crowd yet, full of green supporting the mighty Burton. For those attending the game, a shuttle bus service will be leaving from Alamein Station every half an hour to get to Thomastown to cater for the expected huge crowd. See you all tonight for the big game!

11.01.2022 This team photo was taken after our first season. A couple of seasons later, we see ourselves playing off for the 2019/2020 State League Championship against Hume Futsal Club. A win would see us win the league and secure automatic promotion to Series Futsal Victoria.... We have come along way since our first team photo, but we aren’t done yet. We would love for you to be part of our remarkable continuous journey. This Sunday at 7:45pm, come down and an witness another remarkable milestone for this club of ours.

10.01.2022 Happy belated birthday to the head chef of Ashburton, Angelo Fusca. The wealth of knowledge Ange has about futsal has been invaluable to our recent rise up the ladder. Today we hope to reward the veteran with a birthday gift of a win against Mickleham. A win would almost guarantee Ashburton an opportunity to playoff for Series Futsal Victoria next season. Come down and support the team! Kick-off is at 7:45pm!

08.01.2022 It all comes down to the last game of the season. Next week, Ashburton plays Hume Futsal Club in a winner take all scenario for the league title. In what should of been a great day, it was soured by some inappropriate attire choice by Alistair Dunlop.... Dunlop chose to wear tight short shorts, which were way too revealing. As a consequence, we turned the ball over an unusually high amounts of time, and offended several in the crowd. We sincerely apologize for the the revealing nature of Dunlop’s shorts. We understand futsal is a family game, and we will strive to ensure that Dunlop wears XL shorts next week for our championship deciding game!

07.01.2022 Last year we were fighting relegation. This season, we are 40 minutes away from being State League Championship winners. 21 round comes down to this. We take on Hume Futsal Club, with a win guaranteeing us the title. 7:45 pm tonight at Thomastown. The biggest game of the season. See you there!

05.01.2022 It’s game day! A huge day for Ashburton, who face a resilient Metropolitan Futsal Club in the second last round of the season. A win today means that our fate is in our own hands going into the last round of the season, where we will be playing off for the title.... The boys are currently relaxing at Ashburton HQ, building chemistry in preparation for the big day, showing no signs of nerves. Kick-off is at 5:30pm. See you there!

04.01.2022 This one was for Sergi. Ashburton win in a nail bitter. With a depleted squad, the boys have won with the last kick of the game, thanks to the ever reliable Alistair Dunlop. Unfortunately, in a somber note, Sergi went down early on in the first half with a knee injury. We hope it is nothing serious, and we are glad we could reward him for all his hard work in the short time that he played today.... Fingers crossed that everything is okay!

01.01.2022 Last night was not a dream Ashburton fans. The ‘Green Machine’ was crowned champions, winning the league on penalties in true Ashburton style. The Ashburton boys celebrated, popping bottles of Prosecco on top of Ashburton HQ....
