24.01.2022 Sowing Peace Lord make me an instrument of your peace Where there is hatred, Let me sow love;... Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is error, truth; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, Joy. O Divine Master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; To be understood,as to understand; To be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. -Prayer by an anonymous Norman, c. 1915 called The Peace Prayer of St. Francis (found on a St. Francis Holy Card during World War I) The Last Word All Im saying is simply this, that all life is interrelated, that somehow were caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. For some strange reason, I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality. -Martin Luther King Jr 1929-1968
21.01.2022 The Sower. The parable of the Sower gives us a glimpse of Gods world and what God is like. The surprising generosity of God is exactly what the parable of the Sower reveals. ... As different as the four soils are they all hold two things in common, seeds and the Sower. No ground is declared undeserving of the Sowers seed. Quality soil is needed but above all its the quality of God the divine Sower deserves the highest praise m. Thanks be to God

18.01.2022 Good Friday in isolation: Confession: we have pierced the sides of our brothers and sisters, O God, with the arrows of bigotry, hatred, neglect and gossip. Our bones are out of joint with sin; we stumble around, unable to walk in love for you and with our neighbors. Heal us, we pray. Forgive our sins that we pour out to you like water. Wash us clean through the sacrifice of our Lord ,Jesus Christ ,that we may be a redeemed people, marked by your love and mercy. Amen. Benedic...tion: Go forth with Easter hope in your heart. As we live in the darkness of deaths shadow, may we still people who know the light and love of Christ Jesus. Amen. See more

16.01.2022 Hello dear friends and family. We are sending you all our Pentecost prayers and blessings From Ashburton UCA family. Todays prayers We can never escape from your spirit!... We can never get away from your presence! If we go up to heaven, you are there; If we go down to the place of the dead, you are there. If we ride the wings of the morning,if we dwell the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide us and your strength will support us. We could ask the darkness to hide us and the light around us to become night- but even in darkness we cannot hide from you(Ps 139:7-12) For Your invisible presence revealed in the unexpected moment. For your silent power surprising in its irresistible challenge. For your unlikely people carries of the wonder-filled message of Jesus; We give you thanks and praise, O God our Lord. Amen. God of amazing love and unexpected grace, open our eyes that we may see You especially in those times when we feel abandoned by You; forgive us that we so easily allow circumstance to blind us to Your presence. Touch our lives that we may know You especially in those times when we feel unable to cope; Forgive us that we too frequently mistrust Your power. Fill our hearts that we may become like You especially when Your Message needs to be heard; Forgive us that we forget who we are: children of God with Your Spirit in us. Amen.

14.01.2022 EASTER AT HOME is probably our only option for this Easter Season. A small team of creative passionate people put together symbols and activities in those boxes then delivered them to every home last Sunday. It is our way of reaching out, connecting and sharing the Easter Good news message with our community who are in isolation. ... May these Easter symbols and activities remind us all of Gods sacrificial love. May Christs death and resurrection be sources of peace, hope and new life. As we gathered in isolation may our faith be sustained, nourished and renewed by Gods enduring love. Peace be with you all.

12.01.2022 11 August 2020 God of this shared earth and this shared experience: may this great leveller of a disease, ... this reminder of our common fragility, our mortality, and our recognisable fears, be also the great correction in our collective story. May this be the moment when we start again with clearer eyes and kinder hearts, and with a renewed resolve to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly together. Amen. www.corrymeela.org See more

06.01.2022 From our Tenebrae Service. Prayer: As we gathered on this Maundy Thursday, we thank you, God, that you are already here to meet us in our time of need. You have led your people through the centuries and have called them to remember your works. Our memories can fade, but you give us the ability to recall again and again your amazing works. You give us benchmarks to recall so that our faith will be strong, even through the difficult times. Help us make Maundy Thursday a night to remember, a night to value, and a night to praise you for your benevolent deeds toward us. We pray this in the name of the One who gave himself for us this night. Amen.

04.01.2022 Good Friday Prayer: God of light, into the darkness of this day make us people who are willing to pour out ourselves for others in the spirit by which Jesus poured out himself for us. In this time of worship at home and in isolation, O God, help us connect ourselves to the saints of the church, those sisters and brothers who lived full and faithful lives. As we look upon the distress and misery of our people, make us mindful of the great gift of sacrifice that Jesus performed on our behalf.
