24.01.2022 No wood-fired ovens allowed for Burning Seed - so this reclaimed bbq will be the fire for our pizza furnace. In a strangely small world we ran into the original owner at the Resyk shop, who was bemused that the bbq had been pulled from the tip, and assured us it still worked great. Yay!! :)

20.01.2022 We found our oven door, and a mix of old hardwoods for the floor. We couldn't wait to get home and see what they would look like with the old car seat we had found by the side of the road near Bunnings!

13.01.2022 With the help of Anthony Bonnor, Ralph Knees and Stewart Farquharson, we're learning fast about welding and metal-work. The recycled food barrel has been cut, welded to the pizza oven design specs, and tested with burners for the first time!! No explosions :) Mmmm smells like paint...

07.01.2022 What an experience... We're so grateful to all those who made it possible for Percy to make it to Burning Seed. We shared a beautiful wedding, a handful of sunsets, a birthday and many pizzas with the Pirainia crew and many others! You are the best!! :)

01.01.2022 Too epic a night for even photographs, and already 1 day into the burn, Ralph, Anthony, Stewart and Jake all pulled a late one to get the remaining oven shell welded and fixed, along with support for the lighting frame and a means to secure the seat. We're all pretty exhausted. Special mention to other housemates Luciana, Lisa, Ben, Kate and the smaller Bonnors for putting up with angle grinding, drilling and loss of partners until the the wee hours! In the morning we woke to a pizza car that started to look like a pizza car and was (almost) ready to be packed to export to Red Earth City.
