I am... a descendant of the Atkinson and Charles families on my fathers side, on my mothers side is the Goggin family from Geelong. I have one 6 year old daughter and partner. 06.01.2022 Our Manager @ Ashe, Leonie has her own personal page to combat racism, particularly here in the GV. Get on board - Be Anti Racist

05.01.2022 PART 1 - RACISM IN SCHOOL- What can be done you ask? Firstly, acknowledge there is Racism! You can’t fix something you don’t admit! Listen to parents, s...tudents, teachers and community. A non indigenous person does not decide what is and isn’t racist for an ATSI person but can be an ally ! Secondly, gather a group of parents/students/teachers that are like minded - Empathy, Value Social Justice, Advocate for Human Rights, Invested in Education and Invested in Wellbeing Thirdly, Employ/Contract/Colloborate with ATSI people, business, ATSI schools, purchase resources, train people in Cultural Awareness. Engage with local ATSI people and implement a program together with community that becomes embedded in your school so that it becomes natural to BE ANTI RACIST. *****Tip - if your school or business values something then they will pay for it $ - too often I hear ‘we don’t have the budget’. Excuse after Excuse! Fix the damn problem. It will saves lives in the end
