22.01.2022 Reconciliation Week 2020 - Ashfield Country Practice prides itself on its services to Indigenous Australians. As the first private GP service in Australia to be registered as an Aboriginal Health Service with GPA in 2013 we are committed to "Mob Health". Our GP's Drs Karen Rodgers and Brad Murphy are focussed on addressing the health care needs of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community - This is our focus all year but especially sending out our thoughts to community during this very challenging time for all Australians globally.

20.01.2022 There were plans to gather and celebrate 60 years of Junior Recruit training within the Royal Australian Navy and the Gala dinner had a guest of Amber Lawrence sharing her talent with us on this occasion. Well, we can't have this thanks to COVID but I thought I would share her combined release with Kirsty Lee Akers, Diana Corcoran and Aleyce Simmonds of John Williamson's "True Blue". Appropriate for the times we find ourselves in and working towards coming out the other end stronger and more resilient. 19.01.2022 Such a great honour to receive this award from brothers I started a unique journey into the Royal Australian Navy as a Junior Recruit aged 15. Lessons learned then stay strong with me today and form the basis for adventures thus far. Sharing and caring for Brother and Sister Veterans (some of whom were also JR’s) at Ashfield Country Practice - "Wirringan House" is such an honour and wonderful way to practice medicine. Thanks to all who have been part of this adventure.

14.01.2022 I was a little late capturing the most amazing sunset for a while - but accentuated the lights on the memorial beautifully. Has been a busy time and lovely to take a few moments to reflect and smell the roses. Thanks to all the team at Ashfield Country Practice for all the great teamwork to keep our patients and ourselves safe and healthy through these challenging times.

She has extensive experience working in Aboriginal Health Services. Dr Rodgers is a great "fit" here at ACP and we are very thankful to have her part of our caring team! Welcome Karen...
