C: ACC Green 5/108 (R.Jain 54) def. Concord Briars Maroon 104 (R.Mishra 3/11, D.Nanduri 3/14, P.Verma 2/16). CWSCA Round 9: D3: ACC 164 (J.Horsburgh 62*, J.Narayan 46) lost to Summer Hill Seniors 7/182 (G.Katsiotis 2/36, J.Narayan 2/43). ACC Seniors Player of the Round: Ravin Jain made it back to back 50s to lead ACC Green to an important win against 2nd placed Concord Briars Maroon. A great job by the Green team to restrict them to 104 off the 35 overs.

24.01.2022 Throwback Thursday! 2nd November, 1996: 15 year old Tristan Marshall becomes the first player to score a century in a ACC vs ACC match. Batting at #5 he hit an unbeaten 103* including nine 4s in a 9th division match at Centenary West.... Three other players have since achieved this feat, can you name them?

23.01.2022 Your ACC Seniors annual mid season report continues today reviewing our IWH-CCNSW teams: A: Bala's team find themselves reasonably placed in 5th position at the halfway point in a tightly contested A grade competition. The equation looks to be pretty simple, they haven't beaten the teams placed above them and haven't lost to the teams below them. They'll need to figure it out quickly as their first three games after the break are against opponents in the top 3 which could de...termine whether they'll play finals or not. Leading Run Scorer: Nihar Sharma (254) Leading Wicket Taker: Balkrishna Patidar (14) B: Ray's team are an inconsistent bunch, going three matches unbeaten early on, then losing their next three, then bounced back with two dominating wins. This finds them placed 6th in a 10 team and another closely contested division. They'll look to keep the momentum going when the season resumes, the recent tactic of bowling first with just their strike weapons and rolling the opponent for under 100 has worked. Leading Run Scorer: Jason Oei (224) Leading Wicket Taker: Ricardo Rosario (12) C West (ACC Gold): Richie's team finished last season with a surge and have continued on this season dropping only one game to be sitting pretty atop the "West" division. However they can't rest on their laurels with 2nd placed Concord Briars on a 7 game win streak only 3 points behind. They face off against each other in the second game back from the break, what a blockbuster! Whilst the C Grade finals format is still unknown, we're locking in this team to be a part of it. Leading Run Scorer: Cameron Coombs (232) Leading Wicket Taker: Javvar Mohammad (12) C East (ACC Green): Irshan's new side have made their own impressive start winning five matches, drawing two and losing three to have them sitting in 2nd spot in the "East" division. It's another tight one as they're only 2 points off 1st but only 6 points above 6th. This sets themselves for an exciting second half of their season. With three batsman having scored 200+ runs already, do they have the depth if, perish the thought, these blasters are dismissed early? 16.01.2022 3rd & 10th December, 2011: An eventful 1st Division match between ACC Green and Belmore Diggers White at Punchbowl Park #2 involving rain delays, Matt Lewis from the opposition trying to start fights and the umpire abandoning mid-match getting in his car and driving off. ACC Green won 4/77 vs 73.

16.01.2022 The remainder of the cricket season has been cancelled due to Coronavirus precautions Which means as the IWHCA C Grade Minor Premiers, our ACC Green team have been crowned the champions!!! Congratulations to Bala and the team Unfortunately we miss out on surely what would have been an epic team photo.... Rays B Grade side finished 4th unable to play the semi final, Cams C Grade side were eliminated with their Qualifying Final washed out last weekend finishing 6th and Jags 3rd Division CWSCA side finished 5th. An unexpected and unprecedented finish to a season also interrupted by bushfires/smoke/air quality, extreme heat and the usual washouts. Bring on 2020/21. 12.01.2022 Hoping our players and supporters are continuing to stay safe and healthy. News regarding the upcoming season came through yesterday that community sports have been given the green light to proceed from July 1st. In addition to this, the various sporting codes in NSW have agreed that winter sports can extend through to conclude no later than October 11th. At this stage this likely means the cricket season will start on October 18th and can extend through to conclude no later that April 5th, 2021. 09.01.2022 Milestone Monday! Congratulations to: Lachlan Shelley played his 100th match for ACC. Daniel Cavanagh scored his first century for ACC.... Jacob Poob entered the top 30 for runs scored for ACC (2424) passing Ian Moran New Highest Score (20+): Daniel Cavanagh - 111* Kalyan Gurram - 29 Hayden Williams - 20 Bonus Content (pictured): Records were broken two weeks ago when Div 3 stalwart James Horsburgh got his father Richard out of mothballs to fill in when absences struck the team as they were vying for a semi-final position. Things went from bad to worse when James rolled his ankle after two deliveries on the first week. Come the second Saturday and in a desperate final wicket partnership to avoid outright defeat, father and son occupied the crease together for the very first time for, James on one foot with a runner and Richard who could have done with a runner given his advancing old age. Remarkably, Richard first pulled on the pads with Epping Sports under 11s in the Northern Districts comp in the 1960/61 season (you do the maths) making it a 60 year cricketing career. Legends!

"Official" ACC pre-season training starts on the 13th of September. Summary: Observe the Entry, Sanitisation, Registration and Exit points. You must sanitise your hands before, during and after each session.... All players, spectators and parents must register their contact details. To register, please scan the QR code on the ACC website using your phone camera or QR code reader, then you will be directed to complete the form. Please maintain physical distancing of 1.5 metres at all times. Please bring your own cricket equipment and water bottles. No sharing of equipment including pads, gloves, protectors, helmets. They have yet to field their strongest lineup in a single game this season and will be relying on that coming together in their pursuit of a premiership. Today we review our CWSCA teams, tomorrow will have our IWH-CCNSW teams: 3rd Div: Captain Jag said himself: We haven’t had enough guys consistently contributing with bat and ball and given away some dominant positions to lose games. This sums up where they currently find themselves in 5th spot with 3 wins and 4 losses. The off season recruiting of youngsters has paid off with N...athan Moxey the run away leading wicket taker in the division and Luca Dimeglio performing well when available. The veterans of the team will need to show up in the second half of the season if they want to return to playing finals. It will have to start with batting with no player outside of Raghul having scored 100 total runs yet. Leading Run Scorer: Raghul Dorairaj (218) Leading Wicket Taker: Nathan Moxey (20) 5th Div: This new side lead by Kamran Zaman got off to a slow start losing it's first three matches but has since bounced back winning four of it's last five. They are in 5th spot but could have been in 3rd spot if not let down by an admin error playing a newly registered player without clearance resulting in a loss of points. They'll look to continue their winning form in 2021 as they become more and more familiar with their combination of new players but it's a challenging restart facing the top 2 teams first up. Leading Run Scorer: Lachlan Shelley (144) Leading Wicket Taker: Kamran Zaman (15) 6h Div: Our other new side skippered by Ryan Miklich are our strongest placed CWSCA team in 2nd spot. They finished 2020 with a top of the table clash and were soundly beaten so still have plenty of work to do. Batting looks to be the team's strength with three players in the top 10 run scorers in the division so bowling is the team's area of improvement. Currently placed 19 points ahead of 5th, barring disaster we can lock this team in to be playing finals cricket come March.
