10.01.2022 In a moment early in Jesus’ public ministry he was attracting a lot of attention; huge swathes of people came to him. Yet he withdrew like this on many occasions to pray. It’s odd but it taking time and space to pray was really important to Jesus. How can we take this moment of physical isolation to press into God’s leading through prayer? To pray for our leaders, our health workers, our families, our communities, those suffering and struggling and that God would wrench beautiful things from something truly awful. Come King Jesus we pray.

03.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR HELP Anglicare is requesting donations of non-perishable food and toiletries to deliver to people in need during COVID-19. From now until May 7, we've organised a contactless drop-off location at Rich and Ali Beeston's home in Five Dock: just place items at the front door, ring the doorbell and leave. Email [email protected] for the address.... Items that can be donated: pasta, pasta sauce, chunky soup, tinned meats (incl. tuna and salmon), tinned vegetables and fruit, cereal, long life milk, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and deodorant, toilet paper, tissue paper, hand wash. It's easy to help: just pick up a few extra things on your next shop and drop them off when it's convenient for you.

02.01.2022 God does not waste anything. Richard shares stories and encouragement from St Johns as we move through this moment together as a community.
