25.01.2022 In line with SA Health advice, we are pleased to advise that our visitor restrictions will be relaxed from tomorrow (Thursday, 26 November 2020) with one adult visitor permitted per patient, per day for general inpatients. In addition: - No children (aged 16 years and under) are permitted to visit at this time ... - All visitors are required to meet screening requirements prior to entry - Visitors will be required to wear a hospital provided mask, keep visits brief and to practice social distancing whilst present - Ashford maternity will permit siblings of the newborn to visit between 3.00pm and 4.30pm within guidelines (please see separate maternity post) - Further restrictions may apply in some specialty areas Compassionate circumstances will be considered on request, please contact the hospital to discuss your situation. We will continue to monitor the advice from SA Health. Thank you for your support in keeping our hospital as safe as possible.

Effective 2.00pm, Monday, 16 November 2020, maternity patients may only have one adult support person / partner visit for the duration of their stay. ... Our 70th anniversary year, this has been one to remember for many reasons including the completion of our development project and the challenges faced with the COVID-19 pandemic. 20.01.2022 - We are pleased to be able to relax some of our visitor restrictions in maternity. Effective tomorrow (Thursday, 26 November 2020) the following will apply:... Mothers may have one nominated support person / partner permitted to stay for the duration of admission. In addition, siblings of the newborn are permitted to visit with the following guidelines: - Visit only between 3.00pm and 4.30pm - Remain within the postnatal suite for the duration of their visit - Not permitted to visit the Nursery - Must not be unwell - Attend compulsory screening and undertake hand hygiene upon entry to the hospital : Multiple siblings are permitted to visit at one time, with the nominated support person. For others wishing to visit, we encourage you to call your loved one to keep in touch. Thank you for your support in helping to keep our hospital as safe as possible.

20.01.2022 Following the revocation of the Emergency Management (Stay at Home) (COVID-19) Direction No 3 2020, we are preparing to recommence elective surgery in our sites from tomorrow - Monday, 23 November 2020. We look forward to cautiously returning to normal activity. Our visitor restrictions remain in place, along with a range of other safety precautions that will continue until further notice. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this unsettling time.

Following the SA Government’s announcement earlier today, we will be suspending all non-urgent elective surgeries scheduled in the next 6 days. Should you be impacted, your doctors rooms will be in contact with you. We hope to welcome you back to our hospital as soon as we are able. ... 08.01.2022 We are pleased to confirm that our staff, patients and visitors will no longer be required to routinely wear a mask when attending our hospital, effective immediately. Should patients or visitors choose to wear a mask, please feel free to do so at your own discretion.

08.01.2022 With the holiday season now in full swing, our hospital remains open and here for your care when required. Ashford Hospital provides an adult emergency service that is open daily from 8.00am to 10.00pm. Any cardiac related patients can be admitted 24 hours per day, seven days per week via the Chest Pain Unit. The Emergency Department is staffed by dedicated emergency medical and nursing staff and is complemented by access to on-site radiology and pathology diagnostic servic...es. 08.01.2022 To further complement our existing screening processes, we have introduced a COVID-19 Contact Tracing Platform that can be accessed via a QR code.
