25.01.2022 TESTIMONY TUESDAY From a young age I lived life with a healthy fear of God and a desire to honor Him as I was sure that God had an awesome plan for my life. In 2015, my faith took a massive leap where my head knowledge of God penetrated my heart and I wanted to radically live for Jesus no matter the cost. At that same camp I felt God calling me to full time ministry, then and there I wanted to drop out of school as a 14 year old and study at Bible College. In the past few years I have been learning about what it looks like to walk in step with the Holy Spirit, seeking and obeying His guidance, power, and conviction daily while leading young people to the freedom and joy that Jesus offers to us all. - Cameron Crush | Genesis Youth Leader

24.01.2022 WEDNESDAY IN THE WORD: Ever wonder what it takes to get to the top? How to get first in line? Maybe it’s your connections, achievements or political power? Jesus has the answer . Get ready for Sunday’s message from Senior Pastor Dave Blunden in Matthew 20:20-28... . ‘Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him. What is it you want? he asked. She said, Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right... and the other at your left in your kingdom. You don’t know what you are asking, Jesus said to them. Can you drink the cup I am going to drink? We can, they answered. Jesus said to them, You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father. When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. Jesus called them together and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your SERVANT, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. 19.01.2022 TESTIMONY TUESDAY . Growing up in a Christian family as a Pastor's kid, I always thought belief in God was ingrained in me and expected of me. As I began to explore God for myself in my teenage years, I realised I could have a real faith with the Creator of the universe. However, my faith strained when I began a relationship with a non-believer, which ended up being very emotionally damaging. I turned to parties and drinking to gain acceptance from others. Yet God in his consistent grace and love, never left me and I understood Jesus' sacrifice for me in a new light. I no longer felt ashamed, but fully accepted and forgiven. Looking back to those times, Jesus has transformed me into a completely different person, full of joy and purpose, trusting in His plan for my life".- Ange, LG Leader.

17.01.2022 TESTIMONY TUESDAY ‘Hi, I’m Cara Cox, 37 years old. Married to Ryan, Mum to Ben, Josie and Sebastian. My testimony is a story of gradually and steadily taking on the faith that surrounded me as a child to be my own. It's a story of God's kindness to me in keeping me on a path toward Jesus in the midst of my own doubts and unbelief.... God has been so kind to me by in surrounding me with family, friends and a church that has consistently pointed me to Jesus. I believe that we were created by a loving God for a relationship with Him. I believe that He sent His son, Jesus, to die for us and restore that relationship that was broken by our sin. In my uncertainty and questions, I come back to the foundation of our faith - Jesus died that we might live! The trials of this life will one day not compare to all He has prepared for us for eternity. What amazing grace!’ #testimony #testimonytuesday #christian

09.01.2022 TESTIMONY TUESDAY: Name: Stephen Maskiell Age: 34 Wife: Jen Kids: Bonnie 5, Maddie 4, Archer 2.... . ‘ I'm a fairly analytical kind of person not particularly emotional and I think my testimony reflects that. I am a Christian because I believe there is a God. As it is written in Romans, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse". The narrative of the bible has convinced me that the God in the bible, is the same God I see in our world. I recognise I am sinful and my relationship with God was broken. Only through Jesus has that relationship be healed. My Parents played a huge role in showing me this truth. As did the church community I grew up in for the first 26 years of my life. I want to do the best I can at teaching my kids about the creator of our world. It is my prayer that they too, would know him. I continue to challenge my faith, I'm generally a sceptical person but I am encouraged that the Cristian faith has held up to all my questions and scepticisms. I look forward to experiencing everything God has in store for the rest of my race. It will be interesting to reflect on my testimony the day he calls me home. Who knows there may even be tears of joy!’ . . #testimonytuesday #testimony #christian #churchfamily

03.01.2022 REMINDER: Jesus paid it all. In 1865 sitting in a choir loft, Elvina Hall was listing to a church sermon when she was impacted by the price Jesus paid for our salvation. She scribbled these words on her hymnbook: I hear the Savior say, Thy strength indeed is small; Child of weakness, watch and pray,... Find in Me thine all in all. Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow. For nothing good have I Whereby Thy grace to claim; I’ll wash my garments white In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb. And now complete in Him, My robe, His righteousness, Close sheltered ’neath His side, I am divinely blessed. Lord, now indeed I find Thy pow’r, and Thine alone, Can change the leopard’s spots And melt the heart of stone. When from my dying bed My ransomed soul shall rise, Jesus died my soul to save, Shall rend the vaulted skies. And when before the throne I stand in Him complete, I’ll lay my trophies down.
