Now is the time to take a look around your yard for any broken or hanging branches, especially near your driveways and walkways, over your roof and the yard where the kids play. A birdhouse provides shelter to cavity-nesting species that mostly eat insects and berries instead of seed. They draw different kinds of birds and add to your backyard diversity! If you hang a birdhouse on a tree branch, it does not move up as the tree grows! Just remember not to attach it with tightly wound string or wire as it will eventually cause choking of the trees cambium (a pathway for fluids and nutrients) as it grows around it.

11.01.2022 BAD PLANTS Do you know what Euphorbia Tirucalli is? Commonly known as Sticks on Fire, Naked Lady or "Pencil Tree" it is a small shrub with pencil-thick but fragile succulent branches which can grow up to 7 metres with little yellow flowers. However, the milky latex sap is extremely irritating to the skin causing redness, a burning sensation, blisters and exposure to the eyes can cause blindness. Most often these plants are selected for their aesthetics, however extreme caution is recommended to remove these plants. During the removal of these specimens, our professional crews wear eye protection, masks, gloves & disposable overalls to keep them safe from the effects of the sap.

Well be sad, as Im sure you will, to have to stay away from friends and family this Easter, but hopefully the restrictions we are all following will ensure we can enjoy each others company well in advance of Christmas!! We are closed from Friday 10 April until Monday 13 April inclusive, and will reopen Tuesday morning.

06.01.2022 We just wanted to check in and see how you are all doing with everything that is going on in the world? We are still operating as usual! But like most of you, we have been anxiously monitoring the progress the impacts of COVID-19 as it continues to evolve. As a local business, we would like to provide assurance to our customers that we are prepared, and aim to support our customers with minimal disruption or concern. ... So what exactly does that mean for you? Well, we are glad you asked! To start, our office hours are open as per normal, and you can speak to our team any time by phone or email. This week, a lot of our customers have been working from home, and able to meet our estimator, Shane, onsite with more flexible hours. Although Shane may not offer a handshake, this will not affect his ability to provide sound advice and a competitive quote. If you feel more comfortable having a 2-3m distance, or wait through the screen door while he does a walk around, we will be happy to oblige! In addition, our crews work in the great outdoors for most of their day and are exposed to UV rays, which is said to limit the spread of COVID-19. Ahhh the benefits of living in the Sunshine State! In addition to this natural measure, you can be assured we have implemented all of the Government recommendations, of social distancing (sorry, still no handshakes!), regular handwashing and other countless activities to reduce the spread. Our priority is always the health and safety of our employees and customers, lets work together to support our communitys safety.
