In a time of great uncertainty what we at ASH HAIR know for sure is that we love our jobs, we love our clients and we love each other. We are doing the best we can with the tool we have. 10.01.2022 As you may have heard, we have joined with Sustainable Salons. They are an Australian owned recycling company that save about 95% of salon waste from landfill. Sustainable Salons collects our used foil, colour tubes, cardboard, paper, magazines, razor blades and even broken tools. All these materials are then sold for recycling. The proceeds are donated to Ozharvest and Kiwiharvest to provide meals for hungry people. Our chemical waste now gets sent to recycling plants, to b...e neutralised and turned into recycled water which is used in roadworks and construction. Hair clippings are stuffed into stockings to make hair booms that will help clean up oil spills along our coastlines. Our plastics are turned into various products such as park furniture and sun glasses. How great is that? What this means for you, is a small increase of $2 per visit to the salon to help support our ongoing commitment to creating zero salon waste. This will be added to your membership payments in much smaller increments depending on how you pay and how often you come in. For example, if you visit the salon six weekly and you pay weekly you will see a 30c increase to your payment. You will see these changes over the next few weeks. We hope you are as impressed and excited about Sustainable Salons as we are. We feel this is a must for us and our environment and are proud to be on the journey to reducing our footprint. 09.01.2022 In these time of entitled millennials, there's these two amazing ones. When good staff is so hard to find. In my shop with just the three of us. Bree Steele (senior) broke her right wrist and hand with a snapped tendon in her ring finger. Bree mastered the one hand wash and massage. Shauna Jean Furness (3rd yr) has a torn tendon in her foot and broken toes. Worked 12 hrs on Thursday, to cover Bree, on a broken foot. ... These incredible young people turned up and rocked it!! Never complaining. Never asking for a rest or time off. I love these two and I am so bloody grateful for their hard work and dedication. I'm super proud of them!!

My lovely lady has a sister who lives in Brisbane with her husband and three kids (girl 15, and two boys 12 and 13) They went for a swim at the beach and received a call while they were there to say that their house was on fire. One of the boys remote control cars was on charge and sparked a blaze. They have lost everything. ... This close to Christmas they are devastated. Can you help? Anything would be great.
