To think there was a time when a baby with a mother who couldn't produce enough would suffer, but now? Better living through chemistry! You're a good mum. To the cloth diapering mum: Fluffy bums are the cutest, and so friendly on the bank account. You're a good mum. To the disposable diapering mum: Damn those things hold a lot, and it's excellent to not worry about leakage and laundry! You're a good mum. To the mum who stays home: I can imagine it isn't easy doing what you do, but to spend those precious years with your babies must be amazing. You're a good mum. To the mum who works: It's wonderful that you're sticking to your career, you're a positive role model for your children in so many ways, it's fantastic. You're a good mum. To the mum who had to feed her kids from the drive thru all week because you're too worn out to cook or go grocery shopping: You're feeding your kids, and hey, I bet they aren't complaining! 24.01.2022 I've been internally debating with myself for many weeks in regards to posting this but enough is enough. Some parents seem to think it's acceptable to lie to me in regards to time frames, what's going on and to short change me at the end of the job. Say for an example, I'm told a parent will be back by 11pm at night. I expect them to be back at that time or to have made arrangements and to have gotten in contact with me before that time so there is a mutual understanding. ...It's not acceptable or fair that I'm expected to continue working hours past the agreed upon finish time with no notice or contact. 1 hour is fine but several hours later with no contact is not acceptable. Do not lie to me. I don't care if a parent is going out to drink at a pub or a friend's house or whatever. I don't care if a parent is desperate for a break or have plans that are for adults only. That is your business however I expect parents to be truthful with your doings. All that needs to be said is that you need a break or have a specific event at a certain address and that you can be found there in case of emergency and I can't reach you. I am honest with all parents but I expect honesty in return. Please do not pay me less then the agreed upon amount. Compared to many other babysitters available, I believe myself to be very affordable. However, that doesn't mean I'm desperate. A once off mistake is fair enough but I will not continue to babysit if I'm constantly paid less then what was agreed upon. As much as I enjoy babysitting, this is a casual income for me as well. I expect to be paid the full and correct amount at the end of the job. While I will tidy up after myself and the children when I'm there as is fair and expected, I will not do your housework for you. I am a babysitter, not a house maid. I have no aversion to doing any form of cleaning for you but what my rate is does not cover for example: doing the clothes washing, scrubbing the floors and making beds. If you'd like me to do house work a slight extra is from now to added to my hourly rate. I'm sorry for this long post but as I said at the beginning, enough is enough. I'm sick and tired of being used and exploited. You leave me in charge of your precious children and I can give you my guarantee that I will do my absolute best to take care of them... I deserve to be paid fairly for my care however.

My rate is set at $15 an hour with day, night and overnight sitting available. ... I'm still very glad to provide a professional sitting service and look forward to hearing from you!! Thank you

I get it, things can happen unexpectedly but i'm not going to keep going out of my way and turning down other work so I can constantly be cancelled on.

Tuesday, 26th June - Unavailable 5am to 8:30am. Free rest of day. Wednesday, 27th June - Available until 6pm, unavailable between 6:15pm and 9:30pm (Indefinite) Thursday 28th June, Unavailable 7am - 8:30am and 2:30pm - 5:30pm (Confirmed) Friday, 29th June - Unavailable 7am - 8:30am and 2:30pm - 5:30 pm (Confirmed) Unavailable 6:15pm - 9:30pm (Indefinite) Saturday/Sunday, 30th June & 1st July - TBA From Thursday the 28th of June until Thursday the 5th of July, I'm going to be unavailable between the hours of 7am - 8:30 and 2:30 to 5:30.
