05.01.2022 Wednesday the 25 November is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the commencement of 16 Days of Activism. It has been reported that Melton has the second highest rate of family violence in the state. The majority of victims are women. As a mother, I am always thinking about the future I create and the standard I set at home that will provide the foundations of my children's lives. ... Like you, I want to live in a community that is Healthy, Safe and Strong for everyone. As a woman in leadership I want to do my part to make a change. To address violence in our community City of Melton has developed the Equality and Respect Strategy and has implemented a number of ways we can all get involved. 04.01.2022 I campaigned on advocating for a Healthy, Safe and Strong community which is why I am disheartened to hear that: 2,900,000 metric tonnes of contaminated soil 460 truck movements every day, 7 days a week Additional truck movement on our local roads every 3 minutes... 03.01.2022 Nothing brought more joy to me when I was a child than walking the neighbourhood at Christmas time with my family, enjoying all the wonderful Christmas lights. The wonderful community of Eynesbury are holding a Christmas Lights competition. The group are also calling for support in letter box dropping this pamphlet to the community.
