23.01.2022 Head Position 101 with @hotsaucehair Have you ever asked your sweet, awesome, amazing client to put their head down and it seems like they just put their e...yelids down ? It happens all the time and can totally change the outcome of the haircut I’ve learned to ask them to put their chin down instead. This helps get the head in the right position to get the nape of the neck cut properly. If the head isn’t in the proper position while cutting , you might be totally done with the haircut and have a perimiter looking rough like in the top photo! Which obviously is still fixable but requires so much extra time and work! If the chin is to their chest while you cut you’ll be able to get the hair cut at the right elevation that when they lift their amazing head up you don’t want to scream. There may still be detailing to do but this way it’s much much less . With all of my precision cuts I also have them shake their head to see if any loose hairs come creeping out . Near the end I have them tilt their head to each side and make sure it’s a crisp line on each side of their jaw. This isn’t just for my bobs, but for all lengths of hair.
