20.01.2022 What an honour I was given the privilege of capturing this beautiful little warrior and his family today. This is Lincoln... Lincoln has had a rough start to life, in and out of hospital since birth and recently was in a tragic accident that left him with 3rd degree burns. This tough little boy fought off infections, had skin grafts, and now will wear his camo armour to help his skin heal for up to two years. We organised this photoshoot so that in years to come, Lincoln will know what a warrior he was and how proud his family was of him, and how, despite everything, he still smiled. And what a beautiful smile, that lights up the world. Shi-An Brown

15.01.2022 I learnt a lot over this past weekend about photographing weddings. I learnt that an external flash was a really good investment. I learnt that a relaxed bridal party makes for some great and funny photos. I learnt to speak up and be a little bit bossy, while still being open to ideas from the people I'm photographing But mostly learnt that while it can be stressful work, the end result and the happy faces of my cousin and her new husband made it all worth it. 12.01.2022 Being an amateur photographer at a wedding can be pretty scary. It’s one of the biggest days of their lives, and they are trusting you to capture it. I have now had the privilege of being a wedding photographer for three lovely couples and every time I learn something new and improve my skills. I was lucky enough to get some amazing practise last Friday when my neighbours got married in Maleny, and captured some incredible moments. The more you practise, the more you learn and grow!
