24.01.2022 I didnt do a speech... so this can be it. Opening night has come to a close and I couldnt be more proud. So many people came together to make this show Art L...ocal happen. Firstly Id like to say thank you to Mark from Ocean Grind for taking all my crazy ideas on with a smile (and his incredible team of course). 23 artists trusted me to showcase their amazing work, and what a show it became! So a huge thanks to all the artists involved, lets keep building our local arts culture! I hope you made new connections and discovered creatives that inspire you. I can not believe the turn out. Surf Coast community, you are awesome. Literally hundreds of people came down to celebrate the opening of the show and Im truly blown away. Big hugs and much gratitude. Theres a few artists involved (you know who you are) who offered invaluable advice along the way and helped build my confidence to pull this show off, Im seriously grateful to you. Last but not least is my other set of hands, Jasmine Saba. She saved the day on many occasions and helped all throughout the mega two day install. Turning the back of a warehouse into a gallery is no small feat! The celebration continues at Ocean Grind until the 20th April. If you are around the Surf Coast, please drop in!
