25.01.2022 Thank you for supporting Go Blue for Autism in 2020! It was wonderful to have so many people supporting our Go Blue for Autism fundraiser today. Your efforts will help increase awareness and raise funds to support Queenslanders living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This year we raised $1379.20. What a fantastic effort by all. I want to say a big thank you to Gail Dodds and the Student Voice for assisting in the promotion of the event, sales of merchandise and collec...tion of money. The winners of the coin challenge will be announced tomorrow morning. Below is the video we shared at assembly last year that you may like to watch again with your class to educate your students about Autism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fy7gUIp8Ms

23.01.2022 Today we raised $916.45 by wearing our 'Winter Woollies' for OzHarvest. For over 6 years OzHarvest Gold Coast has been delivering food with love and dignity to people suffering from homelessness, mental health issues and domestic violence. We rescue fresh, nutritious food rescued from supermarkets, cafes, delis, restaurants, hotels, airports, corporate kitchens and manufacturers on the Gold Coast and Tweed. This food is then delivered to 60 plus charities from North of Gold Coast to Tweed Heads. Good Work Ashmore State School.

12.01.2022 Sending out a huge thank you to everyone who sent along presents for Alexis’ Gift. This year we tried to minimise the handling of gifts due to COVID 19, so we couldn’t take a photo of all of the gifts spread out. It’s a shame, because these photos don’t do justice to how many gifts were sent in. Suffice to say, even packed in to bags and boxes, this was two car loads of gifts. This has been a tough year for many families with job losses and perhaps uncertain finances, but t...he Ashmore Community has proven once again, just how generous they are. Thank you, on behalf of the Year 3-6 Student Voice representatives. Pictures are some of our Year 6 Student Voice representatives and Alexis, our amazing Year One student whose family works so hard to collect gifts to distribute each year.
