23.01.2022 Ahhh, the mid-week grind, or is it? Spring just makes everything feel so much more alive and exciting... that feeling in the air of anticipation of the season to come... 16.01.2022 Friday mood (and style) with Linda Fargo. A red lip, smooth locks and sense of style worn with buckets of attitude and artistic flair. This is an approach we can all appreciate, no matter where we live or what we do. Nothing elevates the basics like a great haircut, statement sunglasses and a red lip. ... Not only is Linda Fargo a contemporary style icon, She is widely regarded as the 'eyes of Bergdorf Goodman', the SVP of the fashion office and Director of Women's Fashion and Store presentation, an influential position indeed. Originally from the Mid-West with an arts background, Linda moved to New York to pursue a career where she could apply her artistic talents. She began her retail career working on visual merchandising with Macy's, then worked for Gap but eventually was drawn to pursue work with more specialised retailers where artistry and creativity of was not only encouraged, but expected. Fargo applied herself, and took a chance to earn a role with Bergdorf Goodman; a store she'd always admired through the glass. Initially, she was slightly nervous to enter the prestigious retailer, but with a can-do approach and loads of initiative, she rose up the ranks to where she is today. It can be an interesting time for dressing given the days are often quite warm but the tail ends can be cool and crisp. Plus, dressing for the 'new normal' encourages a far more relaxed approach to style than we've been used to in the past. Sneakers and a relaxed approach now wardrobe essentials. With more time spent at home and less in the office we think a lightweight knits layered are th...e perfect choice for this time of year. In combinations of Gelato and neutral tones, and even with a touch of lurex or sparkle- add an element of Spring excitement. I think we all need a bit of that this year! While we've all been through a lot in 2020, it is true that dressing up, getting creative and having a bit of fun with your style can do wonders for your spirit. While of course it's not the be all and end all, it can bring back a little bit of fun (and sparkle) into your day.
