21.01.2022 Attention WA Nationals Players Do you have an Australian Stock Horse that’s headed to the 2020 National Polocrosse Championships in March? If so, we’d love to hear from you! Send us a photo of your horse(s) along with a little bit of info on how their prep is going before the big trip across ... For those of us staying at home in WA, there will be heaps of opportunity to play during the Autumn Carnivals. We have Capel and Margaret River kicking off in February and don’t forget about the Summer League Series! There is a Grade for everyone regardless if your horse is young or old, your new to the game or have years of experience - it’s a great time of year to enjoy our wonderful sport in fabulous weather

16.01.2022 What an amazing weekend at the Kojonup Carnival, the fields played very well for the horses (the dust wasn’t too bad!) and the spring weather really turned it on There was plenty of delicious food and drinks flowing (as always at this fabulous venue), and even reports of karaoke and some table top dancing following the AFL Grand Final which made for a great atmosphere Saturday evening Well done to all the hard working crew to make this another great Wandecla! Now... to our wonderful ASHS Awards! A huge ‘thank you’ must go out to the Great Southern Branch for once again sponsoring the Winners rugs, these guys are such amazing supporters of this carnival and we are very lucky to have them on board in 2020. 09.01.2022 Thank you to all who have assisted in running this comp for the past 6 or so years! THANK YOU for supporting the growth & recognition of our most amazing breed in WA Polocrosse! I will be taking a step back in 2020 & handing the reins of the daily running of this comp over. It takes a fair bit of work to pull off a competition like this, but many hands make light work & I hope you will all continue to support it. If you have ideas & want to be involved, please step up - se...nd us a message - you'll find it very rewarding Your help over my time being involved - whether it be judging, helping with admin, sponsoring prizes has been greatly appreciated! 08.01.2022 Society Announcement It is with deep sadness that the Society announces the passing of well-known horseman, Peter Daley from Pittsworth in Queensland on Friday,... 24th January, after a long illness. Peter, formally from Capel in WA, joined the ASHS in April 1977. Peter was instrumental in the establishment of campdrafting in WA and was one of the state’s foundation ASH Breeders. He was a Gold Member of the Society and together with wife, Roberta bred 108 registered Australian Stock Horses. The PERINGA horses were well known and competed successfully in a number of disciplines including campdrafting and Eventing. PERINGA ENSIGN HSH placed third in the 2004 Warwick Gold Cup and Stallion Draft WESTONS YAKKA - HSH won the Warwick Gold Cup Stallion Draft in 2010. Peter is survived by wife Roberta and sons, Jim & Ben and daughters, Annie & Jenny. The Directors and staff of the ASHS would like to extend sincere condolences to Peter’s family and loved ones. Our thoughts are with you all. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held on Saturday, 1st February in the Douglas Feez Pavilion at the Warwick Showground at 2.30pm. 04.01.2022 FOOTHILLS AWARDS WOW what a weekend at the Serpentine/Foothills Polocrosse Carnival! Thanks to this wonderful Club for hosting the ASHS Awards, the fields were incredible which made for great games and looks after the horses. The standard of games and horses across all Grades was outstanding and many of our Judges had a very difficult time selecting their Winners, a huge credit to the fabulous number of nominees that were entered across all categories. You only need to register and pay once but nominate each Carnival so the Coordinator knows which Division the horse will be in and it can be added to the Judges list.

You only need to pay the $20 Fee ONCE Email or Messenger your Horses Name, Rider Name and the Grade/Team Playing details for EACH Carnival (Foothills & Kojonup left) Entries due by THIS THURSDAY 15th for Foothills Awards Kojonup Entries will open Monday 19th FOOTHILLS AWARDS Please make sure you collect a GREEN bridle ribbon from the office prior to your first game on Saturday as we have a few fabulous guest judges assessing the Nominees throughout the weekend
