15.01.2022 When strength training, having correct form and technique with your exercises will have a huge impact on your progress. Not only will actually ensure you are targeting the muscles you are aiming to grow and strengthen but also help to prevent injury. Filming yourself while you exercise (or getting a friend or your trainer to) is a great way to be able to assess and critique your form and address anything that needs tweaking/correcting. Be sure to film yourself from a varie...ty of angles for the best assessment. Even as a qualified trainer and as someone who has alot of experience strength training im the gym, I am always trying to find ways to improve my technique to get the most out of my program. At the start of this year i completely deconstructed my barbell back squat to ensure i was getting enough depth and targeting my glutes as i am very quad dominant. I cut all my weights by HALF and focused on increasing my flexibility and therefore my ROM and worked on developing a better mind-muscle connection to get my glutes firing.
